Will people actually be able to marry them? That's gonna be such a slap in the face to gay people if they can. It reminds me of that bit that David Cross did about how a town in Texas I think it was, that was trying to make gay marriage illegal at the same time they were trying to repeal the laws prohibiting bestiality.

I don't believe in AI though. I'm in a java programming class right now, and computers are dumb as hell. I don't think humans will ever create robots that can even remotely match the intelligence of a human, ever.

I mean you can program a computer to respond with pre-recorded phrases based on key words to try and mimic human conversation and stuff like that, but that's not even comparable to the intelligence of even something like a mouse...

No computer/program/robot in existence right now can handle any kind of situation in which it hasn't been giving specific instructions for handling that situation... You program a robot to walk across a room, ok no problem. But the second you put any kind of obstacle in the path of the robot, it's fucked unless you program it how to deal with that obstacle. Robots aren't intelligent and I don't think ever will be.
