Why does he make his writings so hard to read? He might actually be an interesting read, but most will never be ever to tell one way or the other.

-Dagger mildly liked, wish he'd actually skate, and write readably.

Don't like him. Remember that article where he called out people with only 10 tricks in their bag? Funny thing is he left his name out of the article
i love opening skate talk and see mbl88 mbl88 mbl88... on every thread's last post

His article about the Ipath team in Japan and his stolen jeep is pretty funny.  When he goes in the room and Field,Rodriguez and Reed are doing yoga on the bed together and try to get him to join in and  "At least they could have done some cool shit like leave me the air freshner"

Skated with him and Welsh years ago in Navato when they had a temporary park with a mini ramp. He was a really nice guy and good skater, sometimes his purposeful stereotype writing grates on the nerves but he sometimes has a good point if you can wade though the nonsense.

before we'd call bullshit on that and for the most part the real heads are, but we never had the mags backing  that shit. Are they getting desperate  or something? Army ads and now this? Fuck, I hope skating dies so it sifts out all the "kick pushers" energy drinks, and 20 sport shoe companies  so it's just skating pure and simple with die hard skaters.

The only reason I'd watch that whole thing is to see if Clyde said something funny or clowned one of them.

it was funny when he talked shit on shilouh
I didn't quite get it when he went off on Shiloh.
I know Shiloh said something to the effect that he didn't want to be lumped in with Clyde as a "mystery black skater" or something on the KOTR last year but I guess Clyde got super bent about the comment and went ballistic, calling Shiloh out on a bunch of stuff.
Funny how he referred to Shiloh as a pathetic drunk when he himself was made partially famous in Big Brother for getting wasted and pissing himself.
I like Clyde's blog, he's definitely a funny guy and a decent writer even though he tends to jock himself a bit too hard for my tastes.
Skate-wise, I loved his shit in 20 Shot and Trilogy but his later stuff never really did it for me.
I know he clowns Shiloh for skating for so-called wack companies like Bueno and Dekline but if I had to choose who's got more overall skills on board, Shiloh wins hands down.
I mean his TWS part was basically better than anything Clyde ever put out in his whole career, although I'm sure Clyde would have a bunch of shit to say about that, and it would more than likely be some funny shit to read.

first time i ever heard of him was in a TWS article where he describes how he got drung in Prague and ended up walking down some stairs on a bridge that ended up in a few meter high drop... and he took the leap and got some nice head injury... he then goes on to eplain what it was like in Prague hopitals and stuff...

i like some of his tricks, his 411 part was nice...

I quite like his writing - it stands out and is quite funny - I'd rather read his stuff than maybe 90% of the other skate writing out there; I mean when choosing between reading a dry tour/contest/shop article or one of Clydes pages there's no contest!

Clyde has amazing style and is one of the biggest personalities in skating. We need people like Clyde in the skate game. Id rather read his blog then watch a Fuel interview with Mike Mo anyday. And I agree the 360 flip in the TSA video was perfect.

I call it like i see it.  What's wrong with wanting more from a so called 'professional' skater.  It's like he'll only get coverage if someone forces him to.  At least he can fade out respectfully as a "transition" skater.  Look at Chris senn.  He just skates bowls.  No one expects more from him anymore and that's fine.
