How fucking good is this video? it came like what 6 years ago? and if it came out today it'd still be relevant. Everyones bangers are still on par with the shit coming out today. Im glad i have an actual copy of it because it seems to get taken off the internet really fast.

trick for trick, one of the best videos ever made. they go to all the famous spots or make spots famous and throw down the gnarliest tricks done. that was pretty much bastien's first part, imagine if he was still filming all the time and still hungry... arto, geoff and appleyard's parts are just amazing. the music fit each rider's parts nicely and the filming is done really well. i tend to like less "hammerish" videos but i will definitely say this is a really really good video.
one-upping is rad.  so is beaming.  both so unquestionably identify the kooks...saves a lot of wasted time/small talk.  you instantly know who to avoid.

the VHS tape is yellow.

That alone makes the video a keeper.

I remember the first time I saw it and just being blown away. I also remember being fooled when Ali bails on that ollie off the bridge into the river, I thought he was about to die or something.

When I had only been skating for a few months, I rented Sorry, Man Down, and Baker2g at the same time from this shop that used to be by me.
It was the first time I saw any of them, and the only video I had seen before watching them was some random late nineties 411 and Tony Hawk's Trick Tips vol.2.
Needless to say I was pretty impressed, to this day those are still three of my favorite videos.

And THPS2 is the greatest one of the series, if for no other reason than the inclusion of a Philly level.

The man working at the extreme sports store suggested I buy this video instead of RDS/FSU/2002, he was right.

Fakie Inward heel aside, Tom Penny's footage is a pathetic embarrassment.

his effortless and textbook frontside flips amaze me but otherwise, he bores me...nothing after menikmati has impressed me.

Sadly it shut down a couple years back, but it was great while it lasted.
The owners were really cool guys, even when I was just an annoying kid.
One of my fondest memories was this one time my mom caught me getting high before school in eighth grade, and she didn't want me going to school stoned so she dropped me off at the shop. I remember it was the week that THUG came out, and I just played it with them all day and watch skate videos while everybody else was stuck in school.
Reason one of a million why local shops are better than mall ones. You think Zumiez would be down with babysitting stoned middle schoolers?

I remember everyone on here hating on this video when it came out.  Too many bigspin front boards! Not enough lines!

It's an epic modern video for sure, along with Yeah Right! and Menikmati and stuff.

It is a bit heavy on the single trick clips though.

i have a similar story. this was July 1990, and i had been out all night with some buddies. i was on a coke binge and hadnt seen my wife and kids in 3 days.this was just around the time things were getting really rocky between me and nicole. i decided to come home, but only after i had "detoxed" by smoking a couple of bowls. it was 3 am. nicole was up which meant trouble. she began this whole rant, calling me less than a man and a horrible father to our children. needless to say, i wasnt having it. so i beat the living shit out of her. then i turned on Coach, which happened to be on, and passed out for the night.
