Ok,

You must be new to the Skateboard game.  This is real industry talk.  "It's all about who you know".  And that's real.

slick bottom boards.
presure flips.
cut my fullcabs into lowtops.
airwalks.

and for the ultimate kook confession, i owned a set of tracker utralights. the ones with the plastic baseplates. the only set of non-indys i ever rode. the baseplates broke at the hardware holes after a couple sessions. then i got to wait for a month to get a set of indys mail-order.

What's wrong with cargo pants and year round beanies?

Anyway, I went through a major Limpies and goofy-boy jeans phase... I did a lot of bleaching and dying and crap with my hair, too.

winter-print beanies (AVE circa 'photosynthesis')
baseball shirts
earth tones
'80s - '90s college/indie rock (i had a jade tree records t-shirt on at one point)
awkwardly growing my hair out

this was from about '98-'00 or '01. there's bound to be a few missteps, but that was bad.

massive pants, massive tshirts, beanie almost covering my eyes, I think I just wanted to be Tom Penny. I had loads of hook ups tshirts aswell and chain wallets, I also had a birdhouse tshirt with a jeremy klein graffic on it which I still have, I used to wear it for up to 4 days at a time because back then it was ok to like birdhouse

Curious to see what you wear now as this hardly seems bad.

Vans Lampins

I would kill for a pair of these, so good to skate in.

- huge pants cut too short & chain wallet. Fucking ugly gear in general during that time.
- swishy pants & bright red and yellow t-shirts.
- skated in basketball shorts. Sometimes even shirtless.

On a sidenote, the only photo I've ever had in a skatemag, an old Finnish mag, I was wearing swishy pants and no shirt. How about that.
