Yeah it's awesome to see all you guys creativity. I like doing art on my boards because I like knowing it is going to be destroyed. There's something beautiful in knowing it's temporary like life itself.

Looks like he printed out a picture, stuck it to his board temporarily and then put clear griptape over it to keep it in place + show the picture.

i think that would just make a giant air buble in the middle? i guess it could work but then it has to stop before the edge of the board...

What's that supposed to be? It's cool and all, but I don't get the reference. Unless it's a Weezer album cover.

The griptape covers the top and bottom of the picture so it doesn't lift from that, and it's held down to the wood with a little wood glue

Next time, you could use clear shipping tape to stick the paper down, then grip over the parts you don't want exposed. That's how I've seen it done.

Also, thank you for resurrecting this thread. This wasn't as timely as tzhangdox (welcome to the boards, by the way), but I had footage skating this board in two video parts that premiered the night before Bowie passed.

but if you use tape youll have to leave a small boarder for the tape to stick to the deck.

What's wrong with the bolts? If it's because they look gold that's because I had a light shining directly on them. Otherwise straight black from a local company.

I'm just joking. The gold sheen is tight. I don't like how + bolts look is all.  ;D I like Allen key because they don't strip for me like + do.

haha, I gotcha. The only time I've ever had an issue with stripping bolts was when I would use an electric drill to put my boards together. Having my own skate key has made the issue non-existent for me.

Customizing griptape is fun, this ones a bit incongruent with the liquid swords art and the Aladdin Sane lightning bolt but still pretty hyped on it.

Thanks mah man. Unfortunately a certain Kyle Mcdonald bought it the second my local shop put it in their inventory. I gotta say those were made some time ago.. I thought grip tape art was a thing of the past for the last 2-3 years until now.
