Jamie is no doubt a trailblazer and pioneer of gnarly street shit but this is the JT I think of when I hear JT.

Before a lot of dudes time, I know, but why do you think they call those tweaked chicken wing grabs JTs?

Funny, cause Adrian Lopez inspired me to learn front boards.

But JT inspired me to do nothing but smith grinds for my first 2 years of handrailing  :D

Really?  Because I have never seen a kid do that in my life.  But I probably don't notice a lot of the stupid things that children do.

that slam on the nosegrind in misled youth always makes me cringe and when he gets back up, it shows true skating, getting back up and trying that shit again!
besides that, jamie, is there a trick that you want to get and put in a video part but always struggle with?

Welcome To Hell, Misled Youth, and Chomp on This were very inspirational to me as a teenager....I mean I was just ollieing off loading docks and shit like that but The Who and Iron Maiden were in my brain pretending to be Jamie Thomas.

Jamie definitely knows how to film and make good videos/parts that will go down in history as some of the best videos ever.

My favorite was the Thrasher interview that came out after Misled Youth, with the switch lipslide cover.

Props to The Chief.

I reckon the gap he does off a stairway platform over a gap into a parking lot in his section in the old Emerica video 'Yellow' was bigger, plus it looks 10x scarier.

I always wanted to see the leap of faith go down. I remember being younger and just being baffled. Even though shit just as big or bigger has been down now. I always looked at that as like.. the stepping stone. Sucks it was never done.

definitely one of the guys who makes chatting here worth while which is really suprising considering all the heat he used to get here. never would have guessed he'd end up a chill local on here back before he started posting.

i think he definitely appreciates all things skateboarding...

a friend of mine who was am back in the day went to a demo with his now current ex-girlfriend that jamie was skating in.  my friend's gf wanted to get jamie's autograph and made my friend (the former am) stand in line and wait.  when they got to the front of the line, jamie looked up and said to my friend "you're __________.  you had a picture in transworld and you skated for __________".

the fact that jamie had remembered someone from a photo that was shot at least 5 years prior to this demo from an am that didn't make it to the top of the am-dog pile is impressive.  dude is definitely is a student of the game and loves skateboarding.

i give him props for that.  it made my friend's day.

I wasn't really into JT for a while, then he had that Transworld interview where I believe it was all shot in one day.  Every trick in it was pretty much at the front-lines of progression.  I couldn't believe it at the time.  From there on out, I've been a total fan.  Every trick he does is gold.

I'm not a Christian by any means, but I try not to hold that against him.  He's just trying to do what he believes is the best.
