We had to put my girlfriend's cancer riddled dog "Shoe" down today.  I had to stay up with her all night.  at around 5AM I put on the original Bad News Bears.  After it was over she was finally able to take a crap then doze off for a few hours...yet another reason why it's the best movie ever.

Buster was always there, in a sort of fragile alliance. And over the years, through good times and bad... through seasons of hope and change, he stood by us all. A silent partner. Buster was a genuine counterpart....he passed no judgement if he walked in on me masturbating....he never told that summer day, when Winnie was hot and bothered, underneath my bed, as Wayne came crashing into my room. A silent partner. The first one to greet me at the door when I came home from my senior prom. The one who stared out our front window, on the day I left for college. And my mom said he stayed there for hours.
I remember a place...a town, a house like a lot of other houses....a yard like a lot of other yards...a street like a lot of other streets. And the thing is....after all these years, I still look back...with wonder.
