Has anyone here skated DC Kalis lite? they all hype on Instagram but I have actually never seen a proper review
[close]
I skated them for a few sessions, the grip is decent but only if you have brand new grip. Other than that they were way too slippery.
I haven't had any problems with the grip. Also the stability issue re high sole is a trick of the eye, they're not high or unstable at all. I really like them and will get them again.

Question:
(I tried searching for a thread about this but came up emptyhanded)
Anyone have experience with “de puffing” shoes?
I have some Dunk hi’s that I would like to remove some padding (from the heel collar) from.
Anyone done anything like that?

I’ve seen it done on tongues but not a heel liner, my only advice is try and find a seam and see if you can make a small incision and pull out the stuffing with tweezers or something

If you cut the lace straps they should thin a bit

Okay, this is what I did to mine.

There are fabric straps, as you know, that you lace through on two of the top three eyelets. The straps only serve to bulk the shoe at the ankle. What I did was lace the shoe and left those straps unlaced. Then I took a razor and cut them off. The shoes felt and Looked less bulky immediately.

Unstuffed my Gino High Dunks last year, it's pretty easy. Just remove the insole and slice the vertical stitches and base of the liner above the sole stitching, lift up the liner, and the foam comes out as one piece. I unstuffed the tongues too, but that might have been a bit much lol. For the tongues you just cut a vertical line in the back and finger out the foam like a come hither ha. I deleted pics of the process but can take pics of the results when I get home tonight.

What about the sizing? Been eyeing ones that are a full size bigger than usual for me, but looking for reviews they said were narrow. Also do they have any arch support?

Not much different to be honest lol, the liner is backed with a thin layer of foam so it's still kinda padded even after pulling the thicker padding around the collar. Maybe I wish the tongue still had a thin layer of foam, but no biggie really.

Trying something totally out of left field for me.
DC Legacy slim. The fit really well, are super flexible and broke in really quick and the sole is really grippy.
I also swapped the memory foam thin flat insole for the thinnest kingfoam they make.
I think they look way better on foot than on the wall.

I have the Dime slim ones and they honestly fit like shit.  Way long and super stiff.  I don't know if you are familiar with how the Dime ones are put together, but if you are, are these different/better?  They look killer.

To me these fit and feel better than the Dime ones.
They do take a day or so to break in also.
And if you are used to flimsy shoes these will feel like bricks.

chukka skools may be a khols exclusive, witch means I'm the only skateboarder that has them. As all of you are not comfortable enough in your sexuality to try different routes for footwear other than core skateshop. My chukka skool flexing will not be stopped by your fearful comments.

Someone left a few bags full of shoes at the park a few weeks ago so I grabbed two new pairs of shoes--these Nike FC Classics (and a pair of Etnies Scams too, but idk if I'll skate them because I think they might run half a size small) and I LOVE these shoes. It's a cup that feels like a vulc but it's got the cup support. Never thought I'd skate Nikes but these are some great shoes.

I saw your mom do a ollie to cooch drop straight down the big black pole, it was gnarly. she defiantly shut that shit down
