trendy tricks
« on: March 19, 2008, 12:54:17 PM »
What tricks are being done more lately?
I've noticed a few guys who have done switch bigspin boardslides down rails, and I've seen some people with BS smiths bs 360s out.

I think it's pretty dumb to say that some tricks are trendy. Of course there are tricks that get coverage more often than others, but who doesn't want to see Switch Bigspin Boardslides and Bs Smith 360s. Everyone who can do those tricks is really good and hopefuly does it because the tricks are fun to do. You can't even say that, cause a normal person skating can't even do those tricks.

I'm not saying they're bad, I'm just saying that I've seen those tricks a lot more lately.

These are all sick tricks that I like seeing.
Kind of agree with the flatground three flips in lines. On the one hand they are classic and on the other there are alot of sub par ones going in there.
Frontside bigspins have to go...so sick of seeing them. Do them backside, they look so much better that way and not every flow kid from c1rca is doing them down the local gap.

I'm not ready for wallie variations and miniramp to go out of style, easily the best craze skating's seen  :'(

back 180 fakie 5-0's are pretty hot right now. It's kinda crazy to think Daewon was doing it flip in shuvit out in 96, being how difficult they are by themselves

I've noticed flat-bars on street getting a lot of use now adays, which is sorta random. I mean, they've always been there at shut down car dealerships all over the world, and they've always been way fun to skate, why now is it ok to film on them more than ever? I mean, how long ago did Koston do crook pop-over nollie late flip? big pant/small wheel days? it's not like it's some new terrain that's just now being exploited like the grindable street tranny.

I'm not complaining, just wondering, why now, and why not this whole time?
I rarely venture into classic slap and the one time I do it I find a guy getting his dick eaten by a dolphin.

Switch front bigheels seem to be slowly replacing switch front bigspins.
Fakie flips down gaps.
Back smith variations like other people said.
Willy/lazy grinds.
Nollie feebles on rails.
Late flips.
