this story a friend of mine told me;
She lived on her boat in Paris for a bit and another friend of her did too, at some point this other friend has to watch the dog of some couple they got to know, she can stay in their house, raid their fridge etc. its for two weeks or something like that.
Halfway trough the first week she comes home and finds the dog in the kitchen, dead.
She calls the couple, they are upset (understandably) and ask her to take the dog to the vet.
It's sunday, their vet is closed, none closeby is open, so the friend calls the couple again; they demand her to go to a vet, no matter how far it is. So this girlfriend stuffs the dog in a duffelbag to take this dead dog to some vet she needs to take the subway to (no drivers liscense).
This dog is not small, the girl is a 5'2 featherweight and
the deadweight and size of the dog in the bag is making it hard for her to carry.
She is struggling her way trough the subway system and after she makes her first transfer another passanger ask her if he can assist.
She is not sure if she wants him to help being there is a dead dog in the bag,
but the thing is so fucking heavy she says ok and hands him the bag.
They board the train together and smalltalk, she needs to stay in five more stops and so does the dude.
But at the first stop he bolts out with the bag right before the doors close and the subway takes off.
