I like those Lights.  Cupsole?  I am kinda over my feet killing me from vulcs.  I heard they are synthetic as well, which is a plus for me.

The synthetic upper makes them really stiff at first, but after wearing them for a few days they feel really confortable.
Not too thick on the sole either, very nice balance.. oh and they are super light- the insoles have tiny triangles cut out pattern all over, and the mesh side panel goes straight to your sock, so you feel a breeze through that when you skate.

Mid to late 90's when vans lost their sole, they started trying to rip off other companies instead of going with the classics, it was the worst decision vans ever made.

Aren't the Reynolds lights named that because, like other shoes that have "light" in the name, they are made specifically for the purpose of being lightweight?

Having been a fan of low key skate shoes for years, (I skated Vans Rowleys and I Paths for a long time) I like all the basic shoes. I don't like all the color ways but I would skate some of the lites and the McCrank if he ever makes a non-leather shoe again, even if I think the name is dumb. And like some one else said the Shifters would be a good work shoe.

I like Dill's shoe, but I'm pretty iffy about Etnies. I know that's dumb, but I've just never heard anything really good.

thats exactly how i felt about it when i wore a pair of Artos a few years ago...still felt a little awkward wearing etnies though, i cant lie.

that's true. I never really fucked with his DVS shoes....but the etnies look tight.

It's hard, I know. You look at etnies as a whole and see bmx,surfing,mall bullshit but I try to just focus on this little sect with dill,creager,malto and others that I like.
It's not like you're wearing calicuts or something. They're very nondescript basic shoes and you're supporting someone you like. But I can fully appreciate not wanting to support something because of association too. It's probably my age that allows me to look past things and only see what I want. If I try hard enough I can find something to be bummed on about most everything these days. But I'd rather put the energy towards finding something good about it. To each there own though.
