same shit with me man, couldnt tell you how much physical therapy ive had.  if i dont skate for a week (still icing, heating and stretching everyday), then i can skate maybe at 80 percent and if i happen to land wrong (even if i land the fucking trick), it compresses my ankle and im back to only being able to push around. i dont know what to do, i have to go back to my doctor maybe there's a surgery or something i have absolutely ruined my right ankle

Coming home from school, people are really rude to anyone that skates back in my home town.  Every time people kick you out of a spot up here they act like complete assholes.

Have you tried one of these, or something similar?

For a while I was suggested to use this and it helped.

The best way to deal with assholes like that is to be really nice and polite, they dont quite know how to handle the situation.

I went into HMV the other day to get a CD.

I was walking around for a while and couldnt see any cd's, so i asked a member of staff "im probably just being silly but i cant find the CD section."

He said "wellll, we dont really sell CD's anymore, but theres a small section downstairs if youre into classical music"

me: "seriously, this is HMV and you dont sell CD's? sorry but thats fucking ridiculous"

Had to download it in the end, which is why i wanted a CD, i much prefer a physical copy than just a file that can get corrupted or lost.

exactly, 5 (or less) years ago it was all cd's, couple of dvd's and a few posters.

Now its:

Dvd's, posters, ipods, headphones, t-shirts, video games, gift vouchers, turntables, consoles, speakers, books, and a small cd section downstairs.

Missed a big party last night, probably would have gotten laid...but I had homework. >:(

You made the right choice.
[close]
Not sure if that is sarcasm.

A girl at work hinted that if I went, something would have happened between us. Oh well, there should be other opportunities.
[close]

Did she hint that BEFORE the party??  Big difference depending on when she said that.

After the party. Everyone assumed I was going but I didn't because of finals. A friend from work told me there were so many girls. I missed out.

The same girl invited me to a hookah bar, I don't smoke but there will be drinks.

i read an article recently that the industry is phasing out CDs in the next year or so.  most record labels are going to be only doing vinyl for physical releases with download codes inside.  lots of labels are even doing cassettes again.  i guess the idea is that if you're going to buy a physical copy for the sake of having the product, then people would rather it be in a large tangible format like vinyl, or something ironically quirky like a cassette.  kudos for you for trying to do the right thing and pay for your music though

weird man, my HMV still does CDs, like pretty extensive catalogue of them too
skating is all about choosing your outfit very deliberately, going out in public. looking super sick. and then riding your board a little bit

At the bar right now, grabbing a beer.  There's a couple a few stools over from me playing Trivial Pursuit, and they suck at it so bad. I want to keep telling them the answers and, that they're dumb.

I know he's related, and having your whole family be there would be ideal, but don't let someone with backward views ruin something you're otherwise really, really happy about.
