bohemian rhapsody was pretty damn good, going to see it again tonight

Second this, I am not a fan of a lot of films centered around music because they tend to play entire songs like a music video.  I was extremely stoked to see they play snippets and sections until the end when you really care to hear 1 or 2 longer songs.  Great flick

agreed! this was so good on the big screen. fun watch

I had big expectations for this (regardless of Singer's involvement), and it still blew them out of the water.

Dexter Fletcher finished the project, though. Thought the movie was extremely bland, took weird liberties in chronology (completely fine if done properly) and mainly celebrated Queen's triumphs. This is what happens when the people portrayed in the movie also produce the damn thing.

Did not realise her story was so bleak.

Watched Carrie the other night for the first time in over 20 years... a few things stood out that i didn't remember or didn't notice:

a) hilariously strange that the opening scene is basically a bunch of naked high school girls, whipping each other with towels and showering in a locker room.  Obviously they were older in real life, but as a much older man it made me pretty uncomfortable (watching it with my wife and all).

b) I had always thought they entire school laughed at her and that's why she killed them all.  i didn't remember that most of the school was rooting for her, including her date and his girlfriend (who is fine as hell)... and it was only Travolta and his slutty girlfriend (and her friend) who dumped the pigs blood.  She was just imagining them all laughing.  Mind blown.

Also watched UHF, another movie I hadn't seen in probably 30 years.  A young Kramer and an absolute babe-ish Fran Drescher made it worth a re-watch.

Just came from taking my kids to that new Spider-Man movie and it was surprisingly really good. I highly recommend it.

Just seen ong bak for the first time, shits dope. I hate special effects and those quick camera movements, this doesnt have that problem, usually get multiple still angles of a stunt. I dont know why he never took a bad guys gun but whatever.

Tony Jaa has another movie called the protecter that isn't half bad. My old roomate plays the bad detective in that movie, which is how I found out about Jaa in the first place. Dude is incredible and Ong Bak has awesome stunts and fight scenes.

just watched Nightcrawler, really liked it.
Jake Gyllenhall plays the role amazingly, increasingly dislikable and fascinating

I was a little dissapointed with the final scene it kinda felt like they just ran out of time and left it on a sort of happily ever after note but overall its a real good movie

I just finished watching The Hobbit and LOTR extended versions. The LOTR movies are just... too long imo, and some of the extended scenes look outofplace. In The Hobbit they are better, but still...
Its been many many years since I saw LOTR, because I had this asumption that they dont give me enough stimulation. And to be honest, its kinda true. First movie is really good tho, and rarly boring.

Last movie I saw on cinema was "First Man".
Excellent movie, id give it a solid 9/10.

took my 7 year old son to Spiderman: Into the Spiderverse. It was really good. I liked the animation style a lot and the story was good. My son had a smile nearly the whole time, aside from the parts where a smile would have been psychotic. I even liked Post Malones version of paper planes.

Uncle Buck is the best Hughes film.

whatever your retort may be... rewatch it, then rewatch Uncle Buck.  Uncle Buck will prevail.
