I've heard in interviews from people who worked on the movie that the clues he gave out really don't mean anything and it was just to throw people off.

.... I dunno, the movie made a hell of a lot more sense after glancing at them.

where are they on the dvd? this seems like the type of movie that could never have just 1 meaning or 1 explanation, which is why it worked so well

been on a tear lately, watching about two movies a day when im not working, this was one of the more mind fuck ones ive ever seen

ill have to watch it a few more times to really understand what the fucks going on, thatll probably never happen though
[close]

yeah, it takes a while to decipher. The 10 "clues" Lynch provided with the DVD definitely helps....
I'm almost positive lynch only makes movies for his own personal gain. it's not like he has something important to tell us. he is just creating films that are based on his own dreams and experiences, a way to express everything. no one else is supposed to get them. if you can relate, then that's great (eraserhead really hits home with me), I relate to a lot of his stuff too.

his movies are only for HIM to get. people are drawn to them because of the absurdity and complete randomness he throws in there, as well as the beautiful imagery he shows. it leaves them wanting more so they start peicing together their own interpretations. but yeah, lynch is definitely brilliant.

I don't know, if I was a film maker I think I'd do the same type of stuff he does.

maybe it only came with the first batch of DVDs produced, but inside the case there's supposed to be a slip of paper outlining 10 clues to help you unravel what the fuck is going on.

Of course, with all movies, multiple interpretations are a given. So the 10 hints are purely Lynch's own take on the film.

this dude posted the clues up on his site:

THANK YOU, been wanting to see this.

saw this on encore on demand. It was good but really weird at some parts. Easiest way to sum it up is that its a British satire of the how the future will be. Has some 1984 elements in there.

Jesus this movie was rad, can't say much more about it, I liked it more than Saving Private Ryan as far as war movies go, havn't seen a better one

Just finished it and HOLY FUCK was it good!!  The amount of recognizable actors is insane.  What's really crazy is the original cut was almost 6 hours long...and included acting by Bill Pullman, Gary Oldman, Lukas Haas, Viggo Mortensen, Mickey Rourke and Billy Bob Thornton, who had 3 hours of voice over recorded that did not end up in the film at all.  Adrien Brody's part was originally one of the main roles, and he ends up barely speaking a line.  I hope they release a director's cut someday.  I thought this movie was awesome and I'd gladly sit through 3 more hours.

^ I am actually speechless hearing that, the prospect of those actors in the movie, especially Oldman, wow

Fuck now I want a directors cut too, maybe with a blu ray release, damn that is crazy if its all true

Might as well try here...
I'm looking for a download link or torrent for The Dybbuk, an old film in Yiddish. There are a few scenes on Youtube, but so far I can't find the whole film... If anyone has a clue where to find this, help a Pal out!

Your going to enjoy Blu Ray, way better than regular DVD. My first Blu Ray Experince was the Dark Knight. You need to see the Watchmen if you haven't already seen in on Blu Ray, great movie to own.

Whatever you do, don't watch Terminator 2 on Blu Ray.

You'll regret it and lose your childhood.

I have to watch this now on regular dvd, even though I've seen it 1000 times. Transformers 2 is also a good blu ray movie.
