Just got back from seeing The Road, really fucking good. My girlfriend had to turn away when he stapled his leg back together, that part and the part when they go into that basement was fucking gnarly.
yeah dude the basement scene was so fucking scary.

That movie was so gnarly. Just saw it too. I honestly think that movie realistically portrayed what a apocalypse would be really like.

im so pissed about this movie. i was looking in the paper to see if it was playing in a theater near me. saw it was playing but was almost done the book so i decided to wait. next time i look theres no times playing anymore. i want to see this bad. last good movies i watched were towering inferno and black christmas.

Just got back from seeing Nowhere Boy which is about a young John Lennon. I'm not even a Beatles fan and I liked it. Being from Liverpool, kind of felt like I had to see it, it was weird seeing places I see everyday in a film.

Didn't find the time to catch it in Calgary so I had to wait a while, but it was worth it. I enjoyed it a lot more than the Abel Ferrara one, I must say.

Gonna try to watch Cool Hand Luke sometime in the near future based on the posts in this thread too, should keep the good streak going.

judging by that pic I need to check that movie out.

this one was pretty fucked. it's basically about a cop from australia who hunts down an american serial killer who hosts a website where he feeds fat chicks until they die. it's been a while since I almost puked from watching a movie.

Moon was one of my 3 favourite films of last year, along with Avatar and District 9.

I must be a serious sci-fi nerd.

Watched this again last night because a friend of mine hadn't seen it, so we watched it together because I think it's amazing.

Finally got around to seeing this.

I'd never heard of Edith Piaf or Marion Cotillard, but Marion was a god damn revelation.

& I saw this too. Short, cute little flick.

"Adaptation" too. I've only encountered a few movies that made me as super depressed as this film, so it's darn good.

adaptation is really good and it's a film that gets better every time you watch it. i watched 500 days of summer yesterday. it was okay but nothing too special.

Had no idea what it was about going in, and I ended up liking it a whole lot.
