this fucking movie... tube8 is leading-in their porn with the trailer for this movie. I've had to sit through the trailer, dick-in-hand, at least a dozen times now, waiting for the trailer to end and the porn to start. Definitly a boner-killer.

Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance by the guy who did old boy, Chan-Woon Pak.
It's similar to old boy in that it's dark and often violent, but SFMV is a bit
less fantastic.

It was subtitled, pretty poorly I might add. Who the fuck calls a snowmobile a 'snow-scooter'?

hahaha! If you translate the Norwegian word for it, it would be snow-scooter.

saw north by northwest. honestly don't see what all the hype was about. I hated the actor that played the main character.
made it tough to watch. none of it was believable. what am I missing?

I know what you mean about the main actor. I find it hard to empathize with some 60's hollywood leading man types. Obviously some of it's a little dated but you have to appreciate how he constructs a scene visually and plays with the story. Anyway, tales about paranoia and persecution shouldn't be entirely believable or realistic.

Just watched Solaris - Russian film from 1972. It's about a space station that materializes human thoughts
into matter utilizing the station's 'force field' and something about radiating the ocean. Once accustomed to
the absurdity, it was a unique experience. From the moment they board the station, there is an eerie, stoic,
dreamlike atmosphere made apparent. The hallways are empty and scattered with debris. Only 2 of the original
3 station workers remain. Our hero Kris Kelvin is compelled to find answers.

PS the story is heavily convoluted, movie could be described as "a mess", but I found
it enjoyable

I'm struggling to understand how someone could not like Cary Grant.

You and the D00D have turned this thread into a horrible head-on-collision between a short bus full of regular kids and a van full of paraplegics.

went to a showing of it in portland and Harmony Korine did a Q and A afterwards, seriously best thing i've ever witnessed.

i procrastinated and missed when the film had a tour stop in SF. Harmony did a live Q and A  via webcam or some shit. I should start watching movies again.

I went to a screening of this last night. It was fucking crazy.
