I mean, it's not really a favorite of mine, but at the same time
those days were before he 'fell off' in my eyes.

When in your eyes did he 'fall off'? Because Milk was in 2008 and that movie was really fucking good.

I enjoyed mystic river along with milk. I think he can get into his roles very well.

Another actor that can adjust well is Gary fucking Oldman. That guy was fantastic in true romance despite it being very small part. He was the perfect villain in 5th element.

if you guys like Gary Oldman you should check him out in this epic movie called Tiptoes w/ Matt McConaughey and Kate Beckinsale. it is by far the finest work of his career. playing a cgi dwarf is pushing the boundaries of art and filmmaking. a must watch.

Was just about to post that. Never knew for the longest time he was Sid. Him and Gabriel Byrne are underrated.

Read somewhere there is supposed to be a sequel to Road to Perdition? Would be interesting.

Dead Man by Jim Jarmusch. pretty interesting 'western' flick.
The entire soundtrack was created by Neil Young. Johnny Depp

The Thin Red Line right? Road to Perdition is already out on blu ray I own it. Unless theres a new criterion collection version coming out

Anti Christ was so gnarly, almost unwatchable at parts, visually though it was amazing

yeah i was talking about thin red line. have you seen days of heaven? its by the same director and also visually amazing.

yeah antichrist isnt really a movie you watch to enjoy (in the typical sense of the word) but it was really interesting. and the new dvd has a commentary with lars von trier, a great way to find out what the fuck he was thinking.

Days of Heaven is unlike any other movie i've seen, if anyone knows any similar please recommend them to me.

Almost the whole movie was shot at the 'magic hour', I can't even begin to imagine how long that must have taken.

And Morricone did the soundtrack too.

Come and See - directed by Elem Klimov.
A story about a Russian boy's experiences after
eagerly enlisting to battle Hitler and his nazis.
pretty dope movie, looks amazing, and not just because
of this double rainbow.

I had high hopes for Brooklyn's Finest. Was kind of slow and tedious. Richard Gere was too frail. I didn't know much about the plot and for some reason thought it was post-training day, like Ethan Hawke became crooked. I mean, I enjoyed it and all...

why?

i realize it's from 1980, but goddamn those visuals were cheesy as fuck. not to mention the entire thing seemed like a big "don't do drugs or you'll go crazy" ad. paired with a "love is the answer to everything" moral, this movie sucked a big psychedelic choad.
