Just watched this:

The story develops gradually from peculiar and innocent to a really distressing insight into the vicarious nature of people and the internet; facebook in particular. I won't say much more about the storyline but it's a really refreshing approach to a movie.

Didn't expect the latter to be worth a watch.

Weird, I watched Bent the other night that stars Mick Jagger being a homosexual and cross dressing.

I usually don't post the comedies I watch in here either, but this one was rather good, produced by Will Ferrell.

the ending kinda fizzled out into the cliche girl running from killer scenario but the whole build up of the characters were really good. also it did a good job recreating the look and feel of 70s cinema.

I just watched this movie called "Sins of the Father" on HBO on demand the other day.  It was about Pablo Escobar's son basically trying to come to grips with the legacy that he was left with and making amends to some of sons of the bigger names in Colombian politics that his father had ordered to be murdered.  It was actually really good.

yeah the bridge is a pretty moving documentary.  This guy puts 4 cameras on the golden gate bridge for a year and captures something like 24 suicides on tape.  Pretty intense.

Hulu - Cropsey - Watch the full feature film now.

Cropsey is about an old urban legend on Staten Island that involved an escaped mental patient who kidnapped and tortured children to death.

...however the documentary reveals that this was not a legend at all.

I watched Control for the first time the other night and really liked it. It was a little bit slow and focused less on Joy Division than I though, but that makes sense since it was ultimately about Ian Curtis.
Anyways, going to watch this tonight:

Also, saw Paranormal Activity 2 last weekend and it was pretty good, although I liked the first one, so that's not saying much.
Spray it like a high-rank sniper in the West Bank.

saw these two last night

i knew about the Warren Ellis comic (Hellblazer, Transmetropolitan) but this was a lot better than i thought it was gonna be. funnest movie i've seen all year (more action than Machete.) seeing Helen Mirren with a machine gun and capping people was priceless. i fully recommend it.

this was pretty good too. some great robbery scenes and shootouts with cops. Jeremy Renner and Jon Hamm were great in it.

i saw this a few months ago. not sure if i've mentioned the Girl With The Dragon Tattoo before, but it's really good. i don't really care about the American remake when the original is so damn raw. i think redbox/netflix has it. watch it if you haven't already.
