Watched Franklyn last night, really well done, kind of threw me for a loop until the last 10 mins or so. If you have nextflix you can stream it from them.

Calvaire was brilliant! Bit like marmite clearly as I have a completely different view.
Why was it 'shit' like, reasons being:....

I would agree with you on enter the void being so-so but I put that down to it being too long and also the expectations you may have had of him as a director beforehand.  Although I think the effects made up for any disappointment as a whole.

Really don't have anything specific to say about not liking Calvaire, might've been the state of mind I was in while watching it. I've liked similar movies but this one only put me off.

I don't regret seeing Enter the Void in the cinema and liked a lot of it. Doesn't change the fact that it dragged on for the last hour and at times was too repetitive.

A little too similar? haha.

A while back I stumbled on the blog of one of the graphic artists for Criterion. He had a bunch of pictures of the various stages in the covers and a ton of the finished projects, all so sick. Need to see if I can find that again.

If you find that you think you could link it? Sounds pretty damn sick

no problems, I only use VLC to play any of my video files, it can play virtually every file.

if you have an HD monitor or will be watching it on an HDTV, its the only way to go

i DL'ed inception a few night ago, it was coo but not as awesome as everyone made it out to be.

watched hostel and hostel 2  back to back, they both had their moments but nothing to write home about.

the social network was pretty good.  interesting to see how the concept of facebook came about and what a douche mark zuckerburg is.

"the american" was horrible.  upon the opening scene i thought it was going to be an action packed spy movie instead it ended up being a slow paced coma inducer.

Scott pilgrim is awesome.
I saw 127 hours yesterday, sooooo amazing!
Great directing and you get to watch a guy cut his arm off.
Also watched fisher king last night, really good as well.
Spray it like a high-rank sniper in the West Bank.
