Could someone please explain me the ending of Barton Fink ? I reckon John Goodman symbolizes the devil and that in some way, Fink sold his sould to him in a Faust-esque way to gain wisdom/inspiration. That's just my guess.
But what the fuck does that woman on the beach resembling the painting at the end mean ?

downloaded "black swan" last night.
not really my type of movie but watching mila kunis eating out natalie portman made it all worth while.

a little late to the party but watched the all 12 episodes of "boardwalk empire" over the last few days.
this show is predictable(i've seen too many movies about prohibition) but totally awesome.  who doesn't like buscemi?

it was a double when kunis goes down. you never see them actually getting it on. it's pretty weak.

it was pretty good. not as intense as the trailer makes it seem though, but overall pretty interesting.

yeah she was really good, I never like "child" actors but she was solid throughout

What was up with the music though? Carter Burwell is blowing it lately, "A Serious Man" OST was pretty bad too

A little let down by it I wont lie, Josh Brolin had maybe 6 minutes of screen time, not that he was a big draw but still disappointing. I need too see the original to get a better grasp of where the Coens were coming from with it because it felt very "PG13" and as Mooley pointed out, more of a black comedy than the trailers would suggest

The filming was amazing though, Deakins never disappoints

This was really good, I thought that Robert Downy Jr was a great choice for Sherlock Holmes, Jude Law was good as Watson.

By far my favorite artist, this was really good and inspiring.

Amazing film. Hopefully Bale will win the Best Supporting Actor Oscar for his role. Although from what I've read Geoffrey Rush steals the show in "The Kings Speech". Regardless Bale stole the movie, he killed it.

Wouldn't be surprised if it won for Best Picture either.

Some really good movies this year, so much better than fucking last years weak ass Avatar.assfuckathon

Bale certainly knows how to transform himself. He looks dreadful in that. They should be biased towards him this year in the Oscars, definitely.

i feel like an asshole for making this comment. i watched barton fink again, and it's much more
complex than i formerly thought. it's definitely one that makes you want to deconstruct and analyze.

I think it was satire. I think they intended it to have some strange, unexplainable ending. Why the Coen's are da best. I read somewhere that the story is about when they were having writers block writing the script for Miller's Crossing.

^it'd probably be helpful to actually post the title of the movie in case someone actually wanted to watch it. Showing a still from the movie doesn't really help if you haven't seen previews or anything for it.
