Finally saw Toy Story 3, yeah, I know, I'm fucking behind. But, goddamn that was a good movie, the ending had me teary eyed. Pixar knows how to make a good fucking movie.

Just got back from this movie, I was really amazed by it, wow. Also, saw Your Highness yesterday, what a bummer.
Watched Monsters, Inc. last night, hadn't seen it for a very long time, forgot how good it is.

After much hype finally saw this

It was great, at the beginning I was totally fucking lost, had to get used to the dialogue style, once that settled I was hooked

Also watched this, with again, much hype

So many posters on here love it so much it was hard to go in without being stoked. It was good but not as amazing as everyone makes it out to be.
The scene with the director and translator early on was easily my favourite

Movies im starting now

Compilation of uncut horror/grindhouse trailers from the 60s and 70s with campy zombie shit in between. It's like it was made for me.

reminds me of a time I watched the Goonies with a girl who's never seen it before, she was stoked, but I was shocked she never seen it before.

Since this was released in October and I don't really feel like digging through months of this thread's pages, what did everyone think of this?

I fucking loved it and it immediately entered the ranks of my top ten films of all time. I thought the Academy fucking robbed it of best picture. I enjoyed The King's Speech very, very much, but it winning was nothing more than the aged voters making it clear that they love traditional story telling above all else. It's a shame.

Saw Your Highness last night, walked into it not thinking much, had a back pocket full of candy that we brought in there because the prices at the theaters are fucking ridiculous, thought I saw Zooey Deschanel's nipple.

Is it worth seeing in the theater?  What was it like?
I actually did hit another skater in the face with my shoe once at a demo doing a shoes fly off kickflip but he was cool with it.

Hanna was fucking sick, despite its shortcomings. Hopefully more action movies adopt a similar kind of approach, I like where they've been going lately.

i was about to post that,it's a remake and the original is pretty much a rip off of kurosawa's 7 samurai and yojimbo, but the movie is really great.
check out ichi the killer and the doa trilogy from the same director.

^I certainly intend to. I loved Moon, Source Code seems a bit more mainstream but the general sentiment among the critics seem to be pretty positive.

Also really want to see 13 Assassins. Wonder what the situation is with the US distribution for that. Lots of Asians films take forever to get to America.

Anyone here watch Outrage yet?

So good.

Martin scorsese is one of the best directors of all time and if robert de niro didnt get him to make this film he wouldve stopped making movies all together which means goodfellas wouldnt have existed which is one of my top 3 movies but i also fucking love raging bull. I saw The Thing the other day since im kind of a john carpenter fan (his movies are either really good or complete crap) and after watching Halloween and escape from NY i had to check this one out since i heard it was so good. The Thing is definitely one of my favorite horror movies, i mean what he did with those monsters and the setting of the movie is truly incredible. I think i might watch the movie "candyman" tonight, is it any good?
