Anyone seen it yet?

Haven't watched it yet (can't wait though).  It won the palme d'or at the Cannes film festival a couple of days ago.  People from the festival were split;  Some said it was uneven/pretentious(a word people like throw around a lot nowadays) while others said it was one of the most beautiful films they've watched.  It's Malick so I have faith that it's going to be amazing.

I want to believe in Malick, but DeNiro must have been amongst those who weren't into it based on his comments. When he announced that it won he basically said "this is the kind of movie you'd expect to win and it did because of that." It'll probably be somewhere between pretentious bullshit and wonderful, which should be enough.

I think after the last 10 years, DeNiro shouldn't voice his opinions about any movies.

It's rare for me to go to the theatres, and especially paying full price.

Undeniably, it's pretty funny. A lot like the first one. I need to watch it again, but when it comes out on DVD, it's hard to hear what they're saying in the movie when people are laughing every second of it.

Fast Five - Official Trailer [HD]

Fast Five:  I've only seen the first two Fast and the Furious films and I thought they were pretty ridiculous (my younger brother loves them).  I skipped the last couple;  For whatever I reason I went with my bro and checked it out. Its everything you expect: The Rock vs Vin Diesel, skimpy clothing on girls, explosions, one dimensional characters, cheesy lines/bad writing, fast cars etc..

How To Die In Oregon Trailer (HBO)

How To Die In Oregon:  The grand prize winning documentary (at Sundance) tells the story of Cody Curtis who is painfully dying and decides to use the states 'death with dignity' service (which is assisted suicide).  The film talks about the people who are opposed saying it's immoral, and that doctors shouldn't have the power to help some end their life.  It also takes Cody's views as well as a few others who explain how they don't want their' children and family members to see them in a state where they can't even function or don't recognize who they are.  It's extremely gut wrenching at times and hard to fight back some tears as well.  It's a very hard topic to talk about or watch but it definitely is worth the viewing as it does bring up some interesting points.

I'm sure SLAP has some David Fincher fans on it;  So here is the leaked trailer for his remake of: The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo (Starring Daniel Craig and Rooney Mara).  Karen O and Trent Reznor cover Led Zeppelins Immigrant Song and put their own twist on it.

Lifeforce

If the Twilight series of movies had this much female nudity, I would watch the series.  Space vampires, topless perfect natural teats, and Patrick Stewart.  Pretty fucked up horror sci-fi movie.  You younger kids and your internet porned up minds might not like this as much, but I remember whenever I saw that this was gonna be on cinemax or hbo or showtime, I knew I was probably going to rub one out that night.

i'm biased because i'm a fan of Terrence Malick, but this is definitely one of the most unique films you'll see this year..

I went on a fucking bender this weekend.

Absolutely incredible. Watched the second half two times in a row - I would have watched the whole thing twice but I was nodding off.

Seen it multiple times before, but I still don't get people's obsession with it. From a style standpoint it's a spectacle to behold, but its story is just too bland for me to really like it.

One of the greatest of all time. I can't tell you how many times I've seen it. Every second is an absolute joy, every viewing.

Meh. A little eye opening, but irritatingly inconclusive.

Hilarious, but Maya Rudolph does not deserve work - she is sickeningly hideous.

A little simple, narratively speaking, but this Anamaria Marinca gal was incredible. Worth seeing for her performance alone.
