This was really slow but not boring. The animation was a little weird in a good way. All in all worth seeing if you like quirky sci fi movies.

damn . . . has it really been that long?  The hiking-up of ticket prices in recent years has sorta made me stray away from seeing films during their premiere theatrical runs, but my adoration for Almodovar's past work just might make me break this little hermit funk i've been stuck in.

SLC Punk fuckin' sucksssssssss. I can't stand looking at that goober's face. At least he didn't have a flavor savor in it.

I guess Matthew Lillard lives in here in Seattle and is directing a movie right now. A girl I work with is doing the wardrobes for his movie and is trying to act like she's some kind of boss. I asked if she thought he was good in Scooby Doo

The Sheltering Sky, with John Malkovich. Good looking film shot in North Africa.

caught a triple-feature last Friday night of some pretty gnarly gems:

partly responsible for the creation of the PG-13 rating - a pretty adult Disney picture.

one of Kurt Cobain's favorite flicks. A huge influence on a lot of contemporary filmmakers like Harmony Korine and Richard Linklater. Helped define the "punk" movement. One of the most honest and sincere depictions of suburban teen angst.

teen drama with Lynchian undertones/overtones. One of my personal, all-time faves.

Tom Hardy is fucking awesome. If you liked this, he was in a 4-piece series in the UK based on called 'The Take', based on a Martina Cole book of the same name. Definitely worth a watch if you can find it.

Seriously too good. best movie I've seen in a while. Here's hoping Tree of Life will trump that though.

Also was a great film. Both of them actually. The Bruce Lee cameo was fantastic.

Is this a horror movie, or more like a thriller?
