Fantastic film, really liking this director. Highly recommend you watch, his detachment and meticulous nature reminds me a bit of Bale from American Psycho.

Yes! The entire thing is just so well-done, from the way it was shot, to the dialogue, to the acting. I second your recommendation.

It is a film I suggest watching alone, though.

I just watched Fist of legend. I really like the original Fist of fury (it has Bruce in it, whats not to like) so I didn't really expect much from Jet Li's version, but it delivered. If you haven't seen it I recommend it

I loved Ti West's last film The House of The Devil so when I heard about this I was pretty psyched.  I finally had some free time to sit down and watch this, I thought it was a good little ghost story.  Like House of The Devil this flick is pretty much a slow burn;  The cool thing though is a large chunk of the film is comedy between the two main characters played by Sara Paxton and Pat Healy.  Innkeepers kinda made me think that it was lampooning shows like Ghost Hunters at times which was pretty funny.  Overall its a nice film if you're feeling up for a old-school(ish) scary movie.

I'm straight as fuck but god damn, Fassbender is one lucky son of a bitch having that... you know.

Speaking of Fassbender, I thoroughly enjoyed Prometheus for what it is. I came in after watching all the Alien quadruplogy whatever you call it, and of course I wanted answers. I got some, vague or not, it sure sparked more interest in me. I actually spent at least a few hours reading about Xenomorphs, the Space Jockeys, etc. I have to commend Fassbender for perfectly playing David, he seriously killed that role. I can't wait for the sequel.. if there's one.

Private Parts

Pretty interesting movie, I didn't know anything about Howard Stern, how he came to be on the radio etc. Im sure some of it is exaggerated. Paul Giamatti stole the show, killed it.

Gonna check out Hard Eight soon, one of the only PTA movies I haven't seen and I'm sure its sick, the cast looks great

The Guard

If you liked "In Bruges" check this out. Not as good as In Bruges but a similar dark subtle humour to it. I found myself laughing a lot. Really recommend

I really enjoyed this, wish I had seen it on the big screen when it came out, still not sure why it was a flop? Maybe the name, it should have been John Cart of Mars, maybe then people would have known it was a sci fi piece.

Alan - How did you like Young Adult? I liked parts of it, expected it to be more funny, some of the time it made me feel really uncomfortable.

Went out with an old friend from high school to do some catching up. ended up watching two movies. Paid for the first one, went and got some dinner, and got into the second one for free and mixed in a pint of hennessy with our coke.

Surprisingly good movie, Charlize fucking killed it,

Also really fucking good, the animation was crazy, and I enjoyed the La Luna short that played before the movie.
My cousin's husband is ananimator for pixar and that shit boggles me everytime. Look out for Andrew Beall in the credits!
