You and the D00D have turned this thread into a horrible head-on-collision between a short bus full of regular kids and a van full of paraplegics.

iron sky is so boring and bland. the concept is great, but there;s absolutely no character development. the jokes are predictable and unfunny, and there's almost no color in the film, making it a drag to watch

This was not a good movie. That shootout at the end on the bridge was cringe worthy

Hardy was good. That's about it, Guy Pearce was uncharacteristically bad/over-the-top

I'm a pretty big LOTR fan and am revisiting the trilogy for the first time in a couple of years, two towers and the fellowship of the ring continue to be visual masterpieces, can't wait to rewatch return of the king.

oh and this:

Casino

I think this is the last Scorsese/De Niro movie I had left to watch. Another instant favorite. Classic taste in soundtrack that reminded me of Mean Streets with the Rolling Stones. De Niro killed it with the suits and hair. Loved this shot out of everything in the movie (though you can't the car driving in screen shot).

Only bummer was watching it on cable with censorship + commercials.

Another note, The Master looks pleasing. First Joaquin Phoenix movie since his docu(mocku?)mentary?

Werner Herzog's "Aguirre, Wrath of God" is probably the best movie I've seen in quite some time.

I watched Lawless and really enjoyed it, Guy Pearce over acted and Gary Oldman deserved a far bigger part but Hardy and Shia's (surprisingly good) performance far made up for that. Recommended.

Great flim. Am I the only one who thinks Kurt Russell looks like Jim Morrrison in this movie?

^ Sounds interesting, i'll check that out tomorow

This is the rawest film I have seen in a long time, you owe it to yourself to watch this. Stellar performances all round but I thought Toby Kebbell killed it as Anthony. It looks like a horror from that movie poster but it's a psychological thriller set in rural britain.
