Keanu Reeves is awesome, he donated roughly 75 million to the arts and vfx people working on the Matrix because he doesnt give a shit about money. Took various pay cuts on movies to get better actors on board, Devils Advocate took a pay cut for Pacino, Replacements for Hackman

Doesn't he also live in a small apartment, without unecessary luxury, what million-earning actor/whatever is anything alike?

I Think hotels . He might be going through some depresion thing , his wife died in a car accident with their unborn kid . But I think hes always been low key on the whole fame game and stuff

He gets alot of shit for his acting but I do think he is good , not sure why ppl fuck with him , specialy with what frisco wrote

Saw lawless with my girl. Liked it a lot.

Great film. You should watch The Proposition. Same director in John Hillcoat and writer in Nick Cave. Probably the best Australian fim ever in my opinion - that or Animal Kingdom.

You should check em both out.

I really liked that movie too. I like Southland, the tv show too. They have the same feel to them.

Saw Springbreakers.  It wasn't excellent, but that doesn't mean it wasn't thoroughly entertaining.  Franco is fucking incredible.

Cafe Flesh from 1981. I'm struggling to describe it but I keep coming back to the word "unique". Its part porn and part film noir. Honestly its a bit of a shock if all you know is porn from the internet. Its not just an adult film with bad acting and shot on video, its actually a good film.... just with sex.

The House of the Devil (2009)
-It's shot like a '70s style horror movie. There's a nice, slow build, but enough momentum with subtle hints of drama and suspense. And then WHAM. The fucking end of the movie gets to be a bit intense.

Most of those are hardly sci fi horrors. Total Recall and Running Man are still awesome tho. Check out Galaxy of Terror.

I've watched a couple of Ti West's other movies, but I can't remember the names of any of them besides "The Roost" which was completely ridiculous in the best way possible... I'll be sure to check out "The Innkeepers" it seems pretty solid.

Did not think it was as good as everybody said it was, but it was still pretty good. Nice portrayal of both Cooper and Lawrence. The weird stuff they do looks familiar to what most people do in real life.

Gotta say, I think Gangs of New York will stand the test of time and be one of Scorseses most revered films in the coming decades.  It is such a massive film, the acting is on point, the editing seamless and Daniel Day Lewis gave one of the best performances in any film ever (up to par with his There Will Be BLood performance)

I checked out this the other night with low expectations after all the hype

and was blown away at how good of a film it actually was.  Was an amazing look at a generation permeated by media and demonstrates really well the shifting but recycling power structures and the new so"elite" frontmen like Zuckerberg and his handlers like Sean Parker (Timberlake was awesome in this movie who knew he could pretend to be a douchetill).  Such an awesome look at sociopathy, the lost generation, and power structures I was surprised.

Also SIlver LInings Playbook, and of course DJANGO was amazing
