Really liked it. Michael B. Jordan is slowly but surely becoming this generation's Denzel Washington.

The movie made me feel like shit though. Here's this 22 year old with a kid, trouble finding work, and a family he wants to care for. It really made me realize how small my problems are.
I hope it didn't take a movie for you to realize how fucked up this situation was. I look forward to watching this though. I'm just disappointed that Wallace always has to die.

Heard nothing but excellent things about it.

Any of y'all seen ABCs of Death?  The premise sounds interesting, but it sounds long for what it is.

its real hit or miss, but worth a watch for sure.  there are so many segments that some are bound to be terrible, but the good ones make up for it

It's crazy how it felt really violent without showing much violence at all.

Gonna go see Pacific Rim tonight. I'm a sucker for Guillermo del Toro.

I was expecting a lot from the "fight" between Julian and the cop......damn trailer
[close]

I loved this movie. Liked it better than Drive.
Actually the fight scene was my least favorite part of the whole movie. Tried to be kind of a epic fight with the music etc when the rest of the movie was more subtle.

All the violence was overhyped in my opinion.  Not the meaningless violence/deathfest I expected going into it.

Also liked it more than Drive, not sure if it'll hold up after multiple viewings but first impression I liked it more.

Best shot movie since Skyfall in my mind. Not that it matters but this will get zero academy recognition, so when some 3D blockbuster is winning best cinematography I'll be thinking of this movie.

Reminded me so much of a Kubrick film. Camera work and music mostly, I looked it up and Kubricks last "DP" was Larry Smith who now works with Winding Refn. Kubrick never had DPs though he WAS the DP, just called them "lighting cameramans" pretty hilarious.

The violence was pretty gnarly though I'll have to disagree there with it being overhyped.

Really solid, anyone on the fence about it, check it out.

Its ok. There's bound to be a few segments you like but there will be just as many you don't. Anthology flicks are hit and miss at the best of times but with 26 segments the film is honestly asking for trouble. I tentatively recommend seeing it because its never boring. Each segment moves through pretty quickly so you're never stuck wallowing in a crappy story for too long.

When the segments are good they are really good but when they are bad they are truly fucking awful. You'll see what I mean.

I've been lookin for this too.  I found a link, but the quality is not good.  I got like a third of the way through and had to stop.

If you can deal with this shit quality, then enjoy.  I will let you know if I find a better version though.

Wish I had two dicks so I could DP Kubrick's films, they look so damn fine.

Don't let the "romance drama vampire film " genre put you off, this is much better than I was expecting.

Probably old news, but This Is the End is hilarious.  Worth it for Michael Cera and Danny McBride alone.

I kinda liked Drive more, but I think that's because of the Oriental theme on my part.

But I mainly like these movies because they feel so different from most movies nowadays. They feel real: not much dialogue, they get that strong acting is so much more, fitting music, amazing shots.

edit: Read some stuff on it after I watched it, now I'm curious how Luke Evans would've done instead of Gosling

One of the better movies I've seen all year.  Pretty realistic sci-fi feature--less fiction and more science than anything.

Suspenseful, visually striking, good effects and acting, nice presentation.

Just finished watching The Duellists. Ridley Scott's first film. Photographically beautiful.

Really need to get my hands on a Blu Ray of Barry Lyndon

Saw Star Trek into Darkness. I expected it to be a bit more exciting, but it was enjoyable nonetheless; looking forward to what JJ has planned for Star Wars

Very dope movie, had it for a while and finally got around to watching it last weekend. Bill Murray killed, so did Depp. I think next to Fear and Loathing this might be my favourite Depp movie.
