Just saw Gravity. It's so fucking intense and awesome. I never thought I would give a single fuck about any Sandra Bullock character but I was having a mini anxiety attack through the whole movie in a good way. Go see it. Lives up to the hype.

Everyone go watch this move, like now. Every character is so well played and the movie has this sick super depressing feel to it.

Prolly the most fucked up film I've ever seen.. Really great and interesting though. Spike Lee is blowing it so hard with the American remake.

I watched a couple of good movies last night
Manhattan

What's your favourite Allen movie? So far I only saw Manhattan, Midnight in Paris, Whatever works and Match Point.

manhattan's a classic, but it's hard choosing  my favorite Woody Allen.

and also Love and Death

It's an obvious answer but it's well known for a reason. Annie Hall. If you like dissections of relationships this is your movie.
ANNIE HALL - Trailer ( 1977 )

he has a lot of great movies.  Annie Hall for sure...  my personal favorite is Play It Again, Sam.  AMAZING movie.  Crimes and Misdemeanors is also superb, it's one of his more serious movies.  Love and Death is great. Broadway Danny Rose is great.  Mighty Aphrodite is one of his better 'recent' (in the 90's).

I haven't seen his newest, Blue Jasmine, but it's supposed to be excellent.  I'm dying to see Andrew Dice Clay in it, who's supposed to be fantastic.

Blue Jasmine was pretty good, so was Dice Clay in it. Blanchett is amazing in pretty much anything. Still liked Midnight in Paris more.

Hannah and her sisters and Interiors are both good/definitely worth a watch.

All of the above! And if you find you like his dramas, I really liked Another Woman. For comedies I'd add Bananas to the list.

Gravity was shit overall, but was pretty good visually. Wouldn't recommend paying a full price for the theater ticket, though.

Not sure if anybody is big on subtitled movies, but I recently watched one ( of 2 part series) on netflix called Mesrine: Killer Instinct, true story of a french career criminal named Jacques Mesrine.  Wiki the guy and you might get interested.

Go watch this. It's definitely not your average romcom and JGL did a great job directing.

It's an early '80s undercover cap action flick with Sly Stallone. I found it to be quite entertaining.
-plus, it's streaming on netflix-

No there's 6 movies

3 parts of the story broken in 2 movies each

Eitherway, it's an incredibly entertaining watch if you're cool with subtitles, I heard Daniel Craig isn't going to be signing on anymore in the American versions unfortunately

Forget about an American remake that isn't consistent.  If Daniel Craig is done, it's over.  There is no point in adapting a foreign film only to make it less consistent.  And personally, I found the original to be more enjoyable.  I didn't really buy Rooney Mara as Lisbeth, not like Noomi Rapace.  Don't get me wrong, I love Fincher and overall enjoyed his Dragon Tattoo, but there is just something disingenuous about a film set in Sweden with characters speaking English.  That goes for all films in translation.

The East.

I didn't want it to end.  I thought it was going to be a much darker film, but overall I was still pleased with where it went.  Preachy at times, but watching justice prevail in the case of Big business was a little too enjoyable.

I hadn't watched eyes wide shut in years and I hadn't realized that it has everything I'm looking for in a movie: tom cruise, lurking, weirdness, nudity, kubrickness, christmas for no reason, weird fake new york sets.

Room 237 was fucking excruciating.  Sure, one out of every thousand speculations strikes a chord, but the rest comes off as just plain fucking crazy.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fqs9DYisSsg

I saw them each via Netflix where they're all formatted as I have described so if you fags really wanna beef about it take it up with them

I'd think that the actual content of the movies would be worth discussing more than what you guys are choosing to focus on but then again you two are clearly twats so that explains everything.

Eyes Wide Shut was the best thing I'd seen in a long time too
