Even if you're like me and don't give a shit about formula 1 racing, you'll still get pumped on it.

It's on netflix.

Dude Get Shorty is awesome, saw that one recently too.  John Travola is weird as shit but he kills it in that movie.

Am I the only one who was a little let down by Her? I was expecting to really, really like it but felt like it only touched the surface of the idea without going too deep into it. Great performances and all, good movie, but the dialogue and emotions could have been much stronger.

agreed. I was pretty excited about it when I saw the trailer. It was interesting but definitely lacking in terms of depth and content. I know some people will disagree but that's just my point of view.

I need to watch it one more time, I was let down and thought it was an amazing idea not well executed.

I just saw it yesterday, and I felt the same way...at first. I was expecting it to be one of the most fascinating stories I've seen, but I was a little disappointed after I saw it. I think the reason that happens is because there was so much hype around it for months. People made it out to be one of the greatest films to ever come out in recent years (especially by a major studio). So I think it is hard to not be a little let down.

But as the day went on, I could not help my mind from constantly drifting back to it. It is actually a very innovative, deep and thought-provoking story. There is a lot to it. I mean, just the cinematography alone was incredible. I loved the use of red (color of love). I loved how the OS could represent two different outcomes: 1. Society is/will become even more detached from society. 2. People are all look for some kind of connection/relationship. And there is a bunch of other stuff, but I don't feel like writing it all out.

Anyone else seen Lost in Translation as well? The whole time I watched, Her, I kept thinking of LIS. There are a lot of similarities. Her almost felt like a response to Lost in Translation. I'm looking forward to watching it again to see even more things I didn't pick up on.

jodorowsky's autobiography expressed in his signature surrealistic, metaphoric, symbolic, abstract style
it's quite interesting and colorful despite being 2 hours long. it helps if you know your basic latin american history
there's also peeing penises, peeing vaginas, and a delicious set of milf tittays

House of Cards m-f-ers.  Ok, I know - its not a movie .....its BETTER than any movie Ive seen in a while.  Just binged the entire first season - the character development, the writing, cinematography, EVERYTHING about this series is incredible.  I cant believe they went this far with it, this type of disclosure of the "real" reality behind power politics and the psychopaths involved at the highest level is pretty rare in media.  Mind blowing series that Id recommend to anyone...Frank Underwood is an instant classic.

about to start watching this ... first episode was good ... he killed a dog in the first like 30 seconds! shiiit

Anyone seen The Double with Jesse Eisenberg? It's based off the same novel as the film Enemy (which was fantastic)..I highly suggest seeing both. Such great films.

That's pretty funny, I thought you were talking about the movie 'The Double' that came out a few years back with Richard Gere and Eric Forman from That 70's Show. That movie sucked.

I can't believe I haven't seen this before.  So good!  Has a big Charlie Kaufman vibe so I was loving it.

Anyone seen the new X-Men yet? I hear it's pretty good but I kinda want/need a SLAP opinion to give me the green or red light on this one. I don't care if it starts with "I'm no Roger Ebert but?"

Broken Flowers starring Billy Murray was great.  It's on Netflix Instant too, plus Fucking Awesome pro Chloe Sevigny makes a cameo in it.

I liked Broken Flowers. But I feel like it was a Murray filler movie.  But that's not a bad thing.
