Bad Grandpa.  Believe it or not people think Johnny Knoxville's a grandpa the whole time!  Spoiler: Had absolutely rolling when he gets folded in the bed.

Watched The Grand Budapest Hotel two nights ago and just watched The Red Shoes. Definitely did not feel like a film from 1948

I also checked out:

Will probably dig into it over the next few days.

yeh for sure, one of those films that just kicks you in the guts.

Have you seen that 'Encounters..' one, set in Antarctica?. Herzog has a knack for extracting gold from oddballs, and strange places.

This is great, quite revealing on how influential Jodorowsky's 'Dune' storyboard was. Damn shame it couldn't be fully realised.

A lot of this stuff motivates me in the same way watching good skating does, just makes you want to go out and try do it.

Speaking of movies written and starring Billy Bob Thornton...  This movie was great!  Underrated fucking classic.

Snowpiercer I expected to suck but I found myself entertained throughout the whole film. Story isn't very original but it's still worth a watch.

Jack O'Connell was superb, given he spoke maybe about 50 words in a film in which he is the lead. Can't wait to see him star in the Jolie/ Coen Brothers movie that comes out soon.
Also an amazing pool of Irish acting talent in this film, thrilling stuff.

skating is all about choosing your outfit very deliberately, going out in public. looking super sick. and then riding your board a little bit

The Rover was fantastic.  It also has to be the first movie I've seen that had a song from Tincan Folklore in it.

20,000 days on earth was pretty good, i'm glad it wasn't the same as all the other "music movies" or whatever you wanna call em.

Are you talking about Edge of Tomorrow? Or as it's been renamed Live Die Repeat or whatever. If so I agree. Best scifi film in awhile.

Link for movie. Must watch.
