Really strapped for cash right now so I'll have to wait till Nightcrawler comes out at the 5.00 theater - will probably do a double and watch that and Birdman when it comes out

I booked seats for my brother and I to see Interstellar in 70mm IMAX next Saturday. Got really good seats dead center

I went to see Interstellar with my girlfriend yesterday. I was sure that I was going to like it a lot, because Im a sucker for a good Sci-fi and also for Nolan movies, but MY FUCKING GOD. I cant stop thinking about that movie ever since we walked out of the cinema. I wish I could see it again for the first time, because I dont really remember a movie striking me like that.

Tombstone was on TV yesterday and despite its basic cable editing and commercial breaks, it was still pretty awesome.

Nightcrawler is pretty cool. it's like American Psycho meets Drive - but more accessible.

Not a stoner movie though. Don't get stoned and watch it.

I was disappointed in Nightcrawler. I went in wondering how much I would like it, not if I would like it, and I ended up not liking it at all. I see what you mean with the American Psycho meets Drive thing, which does make me see things in a different way, but it felt like softcore Taxi Driver to me. I thought Jake Gyllenhal was really good, but the story and other characters were really weak. Their critique or overall message or whatever you want to call it was off mark to me.

John Wick was cool though. It's the 90s action movie formula in the good way.

Dawn of the Planet of the Apes and Guardians of the Galaxy gave me two boners that lasted for more than four hours so I had to go to the hospital TWICE.

Who saw Inherent Vice?

I started doing this when I stumbled on Steven Soderbergh's site and saw that he did this and thought it was a neat idea (although he tracks tv shows, plays and records and shit too).

It's fun looking back on the list and seeing it grow and seeing what you can recall about whatever film.

Barry Lyndon

I think it's the best Kubrick film to watch after all of his other work.

Anyone trying to see Foxcatcher? Based on a true story. I kind of spoiled it by reading the wikipedia but it seems like some good acting even if it is about some wrestling shit. Carell seems amazing in it.

I didn't hate it. If you liked Submarine, you're not exactly guaranteed to like The Double.

I was bored as fuck with nothing to do so I decided to catch a flick.

It was either that new Brad Pitt war one or Gone Girl. So Gone Girl it was.

I knew nothing about it at all. Zero.

Long ass movie but I liked it. The last 30 minutes cooked my little brain.

Interstellar was fucking crazy!!  It was super intense and mind bending at some points.  I was lucky enough to go into it with some very basic knowledge of space, the singularity, black holes and time.  Without that I think it would have been a bit confusing and hard to wrap my head around the concept at some points in the movie. I did see some people that were very confused about what was happening in the final scenes because they just didn't understand it.  I loved it though 10/10 from me!

I thought Interstellar was straight garbage.  After reading reviews that brought up comparisons to 2001 I was hyped but the only thing those two films have in common is that they take place in space and there aren't lasers or aliens.  Anyone who liked Interstellar, go see "Moon" or "2001" for the real deal.

human caterpillar 2. it wasn't really 'good' per se. the leading man was not very handsome, and it was all in black and white. i think it could be a useful tool for childraising. kids should watch and be told 'if you're bad you join the human caterpillar'.
'hell is other people sewed to your ass and mouth'.
the highlight for me was when the pregnant lady gave birth in a luxury sedan then stepped on the newborn's head under the gas pedal. 'there's no point of anything but i'm getting outta here!'
a bit of nihilism is part of any healthy society.

Moon is incredibly underrated. Sam Rockwell didn't even get an oscar nomination which was a shame.

I went into interstellar not even knowing what it was about.  I hadn't even seen a trailer or read any reviews.  I personally loved the whole thing about time relativity and it was cool to see what they think it would be like to travel through a wormhole.  I just dig the unknown.  It had some cheesy and unrealistic moments forsure, but it's a movie. Maybe the comparisons to other movies ruined it for you, or maybe it's just not your type of movie(we all have different tastes and expectations).

I am going to watch both the movies you suggested!  I know Moon is on Netflix so I'll watch that first.  Space always blows my mind.

Interstellar was amazing to me! I know something about all that space crap so I could understand what was happening, but not enough to be able to poke too many holes in it. Never really had a movie give me the kinda feeling I got from it before. 10/10 for sure, but has to be watched in a theater.
