Thanks for bringing that back to my mind, I've been meaning to watch that since it came out.
Also, this:

it sounds fucked up and it is. hon hon hon, french libertines. michael pitt does some full frontal nudity [or is that a stunt cock?] and the main girl is naked a lot. i watched while listening to tori amos so i didn't get the whole story but wikipeter filled in what i missed.

Yes! Liked it a lot but didn't make me think of Persona despite the 'mysterious person arrives in town' premise.

It's a documentary but it's shot at 24 fps so it "looks like a movie" if that makes any sense.

It's also one of the most fucked up things I've seen in regards to a filmmaker putting his own life on the line..

Saw this the other day... Really good movie! It's pretty much a tragicomedy set during the war in Yugoslavia with a really dark kind of humor. The soundtrack (Buzzcocks, Lou Reed) kicks ass, too! Go see it if they show it in a theatre near you!

Saw Spotlight the other night.  Very well acted and the cast is great.  The topic (exposing Catholic priest molestation in Boston) was pretty gnarly.  At the end of the movie they listed the cities where there has been priest molestation accusations.  Fucking heartbreaking and eye opening how many creeps of the cloth there are just ruining lives STILL, even after these giant exposes.

My partner and I went to see the Fassbender Steve Jobs film a week or two ago and I am still recommending it to people.
Even if you're not interested in CEO's of large billion dollar, multi-national corporations there is a lot to be enjoyed about this film. Fassbender, Kate Winslet and Rogen all put on quality performances (even if Winslet's accent is all over the place.
It has a decent enough meta critic and recieved some great reviews but seemed to seriously under-perform at the box office although I'm not sure why. It's not a biopic and the three-act structure really works to the film's favour.
Any other Pals care to chime in?

Haha, ok.  It made me think of when I was walking home from a bar shitfaced and walked past a theater showing 28 Days Later and I had no idea what it was.  I made it about 15 minutes in before I had to walk about because I was way too wasted for that business.

Ive been seeing a lot of movies recently. I like to get high and see an early movie on my day off. I just saw Creed. It was decent, its probably everything you would expect from a rocky sequel/spin off. The night before, the seth rogen holiday comedy was defiantly funny, I recommend for a good easy laugh. Hunger Games was alright, I only saw it because I saw the previous ones and just felt like I had to finish it. The Steve Jobs movie was ok, I expected more but I guess thats my fault. A friend of mine who is a huge apple fan was telling me that the movie was wildly inaccurate. The best movie I've seen recently was definitely spotlight. just a great movie all around, you gotta see that one.

Who's excited for star wars? I have tickets for opening night and then again the next morning. sober for the first showing, high af for the second
