'A Quiet Place' is pretty good

'Game Over Man' is stupid but funny, bonus points for multiple on screen dicks

"kill the irishman" was dope. true story about danny green, irish guy in collinwood area of cleveland who had a bellini. he got into it w/ the mafia and killed a bunch of them and they'd blow his house down or detonate his car but he dodged a lot of assassination attempts. he was like castro!

Isle of Dogs is worth checking out, but was just OK compared to his other stuff.

Fantastic Mr. Fox is better. It has way more heart. Still a fun movie though.

Caught Kodachrome on Netflix over the weekend. Kind of a tearjerker towards the end but great performance by Ed Harris IMO.

Funny story; while I was living in Cleveland, the super of my building used to be a taxi driver. He shared stories of driving hookers and whatnot, but one of the stories was about a Danny Green assassination attempt. He was at a party after driving all night, having a great time, then they heard a huge explosion that took place not even three blocks from where they were. Turns out, it was the mafia trying to kill Danny. And they failed.
His stories were wild, but I can’t say much else because I don’t want to incriminate the guy.

Also, “A Quiet Place” is probably one of the best new horror movies I’ve seen in a while. Not “greatest of all time” by any means, but a great film nonetheless.

pretty sure there was someone who used to post here that would tell stories of his mom dating dating Danny Greene back in the day.  anyone remember who that was?

Watched 'Prisoners' a few nights ago. So good.

I'm feeling a Gyllenhaal binge. Has anyone seen Nocturnal Animals?

Yeah, though I don't recall much of it outside of being properly kept in suspense, I do recommend it. I've listened to the soundtrack a fair bit since as well.

Nocturnal Animals was great. Enemy and Nightcrawler are 2 other good JG flicks.

Lately been diving into Kung Fu movies... a genre I really avoided for a long time.  I always loved a good badass yakuza or hong kong action film, so figured it was time to indulge:

Probably my favorite so far... great action, specifically the training scenes which were half the movie.

Not even really a Kung Fu movie, I had actually seen this before but didn't remember much.  Amazing samurai revenge film that QT ripped off for Kill Bill.... amazing cinematography and Meiko Kaji is amazingly gorgeous and badass.  Highly recommended.

Currently watching The Five Deadly Venoms.... if anybody else has some recommendations to throw my way please do!

"The Hateful Eight" was everything I expected from a Tarantino film.
