I watched a couple films from The Up series last night.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Up_Series
Really good concept, they take a bunch of seven year olds from Britain from various locations and social backgrounds and film updates on them every seven years, starting in the 60's. It's fucking weird/often depressing seeing how few lives stay on track with what they want to do.
Most of the early ones are on Google Video if you search 'Michael Apted'. I'd recommend it.

shit that looks really interesting, how did you watch it, dvd, stream, download?

The Usual Suspects and Boondock Saints

On tv though so it kind of sucked.

You and the D00D have turned this thread into a horrible head-on-collision between a short bus full of retarded kids and a van full of paraplegics.

Google video. You can torrent them all together if you want to, cause 42 Up was released in a dvd boxset or something with all the earlier ones.

you should watch "Once Upon a Time in the West".  Its by the same director and written by Dario Argento.

Good the Bad and Ugly:  one of if not the best western of all time.  or even best movie

12 Monkeys:  awesome

Boondock Saints:  maybe it was overhyped for me, but I wasn't into this movie at all.   Don't really understand why it has such a huge cult following.

Finally saw There Will Be Blood. Pretty gripping movie, I enjoyed it. Definitely not one I'd be able to watch more than once or twice
though.

Rented Munich again too. Love that movie, so intense and actually makes you think about the politics of it all. And in today's age something has to be said for a movie where the characters are given the appropriate accent.

plus I love that poster.

Today I bought Control, High Fidelity and There Will be Blood. Tonight's going to be a rad night in.

control was rad/amazing. don't watch it with a group of friends though, gives everyone a weird/sad vibe, unless they appreciate joy division.

can't wait for THE DARK KNIGHT!

yeah I went to see Control with two friends when it first came out and when we were leaving it was pretty hard to talk to each other haha, we're all big fans though and I think it's amazing
