That's fucking absurd.  I'm gonna go ahead and claim that it'll dethrone Battlefield Earth.

I watched KIDS last night for the first time in about 10 years. Good movie. It made me bummed for Harold though.

even though it seems nowadays everyone hates on the movie, its still in my favourites. It had such a huge impact on me back when I watched it the first time. Love that movie...

i hate anyone who hates that movie. KIDS is a classic. Sincere, genuine films about adolescence don't get much better than that film. Superb cinema verite style photography, too.

I hate to admit that I really liked Wanted, thought it would be a mindless action movie, but it was good.

They played The Wrong Guy on FX this morning and I had nothing better to do so I watched it. Turns out it wasn't that bad, it was actually pretty funny. It stars Dave Foley, probably my least favorite of all the KITH, but it was still a good watch nonetheless.

Keeping the new wave/Godard train rolling, and perhaps my descent into pretentious film nerddom as well.

paronoid park?? really??? people actually liked this???
[close]

Yeah I was not feeling that movie, one of Van Sant's weakest in my opinion, felt like a bad student film, it was cool that they incorporated skateboarding but everything else was pretty weak
[close]

I liked that it didn't have a happy ending or tie up all the lose ends. It was slow, but I thought it was good.

Damn, those are some pretty low standards to like a movie.  I like Gus Van Sant, Goodwill Hunting and Elephant were both really good, and I haven't seen Milk, but I'm sure that'll be good too.

But Last Days, and Paranoid Park were such worthless pieces of shit.  This isn't my opinion, it's scientific fact.

The kid who played Casper died too. I think it may have been a suicide.

Rumour has it he hung himself in a Las Vegas hotel and that he screwed Guy Marianos girlfriend.

I got sick yesterday and stayed home all day today and went through this thread looking for good movies that I already had on my harddrive. ended up watching A Scanner Darkly and it was a good watch, maybe even a good movie.

I'm ashamed I didn't watch it earlier.
I was thinking of watching 2001 Space Oddyssey as well, how was it? I heard its rather exhausting and needs to be seen on a big screen.

Yeah it's a really tight movie, and amazing visually, but I made a mistake watching it late at night so I faded out pretty bad toward the end. It's amazing, but I need to watch it again when I can be more attentive.
