burn after reading. best movie i've seen in a long time.

I really don't understand all the love for this movie. It was amusing enough, but it never really made me laugh out loud or anything and it certainly wasn't very memorable. Eh, to each his own though.

I saw it last night after 3 blunts so maybe that's why. That and I like hearing Malkovich go off.

"The Passenger"
"L'eclisse"

L'eclisse was a little too slow and cerebral for me. Visually stunning, though.

Totally agree with you, one of the Coens weakest in my opinion, but saying any of the Coens films are "weak" is blasphemy

This movie was tight, I come to realize more and more that I wish I was born in the 70's and would have experienced some of the best cinema in theaters in my prime and not all the bullshit that's been pumped out of hollywood recently. Thats the beauty of movies though, they're timeless

Some pretty strong, quotable lines in that one. NYC rant was golden. Very good watch.

let me say first that i have hated pretty much every movie jack black has been in in the past couple years but i watched nacho libre the other night and like,

it wasnt funny or anything but that movie is really really well shot. like really good colors nice nonspastic filming (might have been because the first 20 minutes of quantum of solace gave me a migrane) but i really enjoyed nacho libre the whole way through without even laughing. im a sucker for easy to watch movies with warm sunny scenery though.

worth it if you have a friend with the dvd

This film was fucking tight, slow paced, great music, amazing camera work, directed by the Coens, awesome noir type feel, they can take any subject like being a barber, and make it interesting as fuck

Went on a little blu ray rampage yesterday, picked up Seven, There Will Be Blood and A Clockwork Orange

I do not regret it at all

Not technically a movie but it might as well be. Watching the whole thing over again, one disc down.

Anyone know when "The Pacific" comes out?

That's probably cause Charlie Kaufman wrote Adaptation and Being John Malkovich.

You and the D00D have turned this thread into a horrible head-on-collision between a short bus full of retarded kids and a van full of paraplegics.

originally, Spike was supposed to direct it. But he opted to focus on Where The Wild Things Are instead. I think he still has a producer credit on the film, though.
