The new Bruce McDonald movie, Pontypool. Fucking intense and an amazing twist on zombie movies.

Timecrimes, a Spanish time travel movie. Really cool concept. Plus the one character looks like Darkman, and the female lead has perfect tits.

Both of these movies only have a few actors, and a few locations, but they manage to keep you completely engaged. Got me stoked on how a great script is so much more important than a big budget/famous actors/special effects/etc.

Amazing...

YES YES YES!

I had a newfound appreciaton for Olivia Newton John after seeing this for the first time. I was never too fond of Sean Penn until i saw him in Beaver Trilogy. And Crispin was amazing as always.

I love 'em all but the original documentary is probably my favorite because it's real. My goal in life is to meet Groovin' Gary

Unfortunately, Gary passed away a few months ago.

One of the most startling aspects of the trilogy is how close to reality the Sean Penn and Crispin Glover segments were to what actually happened (compared to the first segment). I suggest checking out this interview the director, Trent Harris, did for NPR:

i don't know if this really constitutes as being a movie in the general/literal sense, but it has the word "movie" in it so whatever:

i saw this when it first hit theaters, and loved it. It's a pretty engulfing piece of work (for those with an appreciaton for minimalist cinema). Seeing it on a teeny, tiny TV screen sorta ruins the film. But it's still an interesting watch:

probably one of Hal Hartley's most underrated films - which is saying alot, considering Hal Hartley himself is pretty underrated:

After this movie I can honestly say Renee Zelweger is my least favourite actress of all time, she absolutely ruined this film, it could have been pretty good if she wasn't cast. Jeremy Irons, Ed Harris and Viggo were fucking rad in this, but she absolutely destroyed it

Probably the best "B" movie ever made
