Soundtrack was pretty good.
Sundance version is so much better then the DVD. Like it alot even though it's just decent. I always find myself shutting it off half way through

I will never not be stoked on Escape from New York.

best movie EVER!

a couple of weeks ago i saw that they were airing ESCAPE FROM L.A. at like 2 in the morning. I was surprised at how much i liked it. Although it definitely doesn't hold a candle to the first one.

i heard a third film is in the works. It's supposedly called ESCAPE FROM EARTH. Should be rad.

I heard that John Carpenter has fallen ill, though. That sucks.

Soundtrack was pretty good.

that may be the only good thing about it. The film's lovability seems to rely mostly on how well it panders to 90's nostalgia babies. I rolled my eyes a few times while watching it....but all in all it's a pretty decent watch if you spent your formative years during the era the film takes place in.

Oh, and Mary Kate Olson gives a stellar performance.

Escape from Earth, that sounds fucking sick. The John Carpenter and Kurt Russell combination always ends up in a really good film, The Thing is another favourite of mine.

Yea I only saw it because this girl paid my way in, but I was really surprised by how good it was. There was a lot of gore scenes and I really liked braindead and I hope Peter Jackson tries to start making more movies like that

That looks awesome!

Peter Jackson didnt make this movie, he put his name on it so more people would see it, much like Quentin Tarantino and "Hero", although you may have worded your post wrong

This movie is 4 hours long, and maybe the best movie you will ever see. It is so sick.

I thought I'd like this movie for the same reason that the critics trashed it and I like Bret Easton Ellis, but this movie sucked. Really slow, and almost boring, Brad Renfro was good, sucks that he died. The movie focused too much on characters I could not give a shit about, like that dude and his dad in Hawaii, what the fuck?
