Everyone should really go see District 9.  Holy shit its good.  Didn't expect it to be so mind blowing.  WOW!

Yea I only saw it because this girl paid my way in, but I was really surprised by how good it was. There was a lot of gore scenes and I really liked braindead and I hope Peter Jackson tries to start making more movies like that

Peter Jackson didnt make this movie, he put his name on it so more people would see it, much like Quentin Tarantino and "Hero", although you may have worded your post wrong

Wow really? I watched that movie when I was 8 on scifi and I've been stoked on him ever since, I'm kinda bummed on D9 now.

Your opinion of the movie changed after you found out who directed it? Idiot.

A lot of critics really trashed this movie, but that made me enjoy it more for some reason.

(I also read that there was going to be a gay orgy of sorts, but no such luck, at least in the version I saw.)

Oh and I especially liked the soundtrack!

I thought I'd like this movie for the same reason that the critics trashed it and I like Bret Easton Ellis, but this movie sucked. Really slow, and almost boring, Brad Renfro was good, sucks that he died. The movie focused too much on characters I could not give a shit about, like that dude and his dad in Hawaii, what the fuck?

^ I love those types of movies.

Watching Big Trouble in Little China, Kurt Russell plays Jack Burton, so fucking sick.

That movie helped me lose my virginity. Of course while we were fucking, I was really dreaming about Lo Pan.

Which reminds me there fellas.  Lo-Pan tattoo just got drawn up.  Of course I drew him with light coming out of his hands and mouth and Kuato from Total Recall coming out of his stomach.  I am considering putting glasses on Kuato for some reason

I don't have a theater within less than an hour of me, but next weekend I am driving to one to see Inglorious Bastards, should I make it a double feature and see District 9?  I don't even know what it's about besides aliens or some shit.  I am instantly wary of anything sci-fi because I am not too into it, but I have not heard a single bad thing about it.

if you liked alien, then i'd say yes but if you didn't like alien then your not capable of liking even well made sci fi so i'd skip it

was hoping to see IB next week but we may be taking my mother in law to see that one where they are on an island instead

Yeah if it's well made, then I can totally give it a shot and I loved Alien and Aliens.  It's the Independence Day and Armageddon movies I can't hang with

then you should be good, district 9 is definitely more alien (realistic plot that only requires suspension of disbelief only for existence of aliens, matrue dialog, stronger charater development, good special effects that aren't the main focus and not distracting from story, ect...) than armageddon\independence day (plot requires suspension of disbelief, terrible dialog that relies on one liners, paper thin charaters, film selling point is special effects and big name actors, ect...). they could be different genres really.

HAHAHAAHAHAHAH I could never take that movie seriously just because it was Josh from the Nickolodean show Drake & Josh. He even has a sex scene. Hilarious.

Hell yeah. His interviews on Letterman are legendary in my book for how awkward (in an awesome way) he is. Dude is like Peter Pan in the flesh
