35mm?!

try the fuji ga645, 645i, 645w, 645wi, or 645zi

looks like a toy so no one is likely to take you serious with it, which can be a real advantage, yet its medium format, autofocus and razor, razor sharp

I started to clean out my memory card and work on what I shot over my vacation.  This one turned out pretty well right off the bat:

matze,
i dont really shoot people, so this is about the closest i get.  excuse the pop up flash and 800 speed film
MF rangefinders arent the best for close portraits because they tend to be fairly slow (like f3.5 or f4), and often have poor close-in range (around 3 feet min focus).  theyre better suited for landscapes, street photos, etc., with TLRs and SLRs preferred for portraits because they allow very, very close focusing.   that said, many wedding photographers use(d) the fuji GA 645s as backup cameras.  i dont know how they would perform for a straight up head shot, but for head-and-shoulders shots and group shots and candids, im sure they would be great.   maybe too sharp for some portraits tho?

i bought today some out of date films:
15 medium format kodak e100vs and 10 35mm  fuji velvia 400f ... all in all: 20 euro for 25 films ... i mean they would cost about 80-120 euro if they would be new. i call that one a good deal

you keep the 120 in your fridge, right?   or in your freezer for the longer term?

just regular in the fridge. all the films i buy don't exist longer then one year, so i don't think it's necessary to put them into the freezer ... or is it?

if you dont plan to use them in the next few weeks, it cant hurt to put them in the freezer, because they are slowly but steadily degrading.    just transfer them to the fridge a day before you are going to use them...

oh, and a friend of mine told me that kodak still makes 110 film and it is sold at walmart.  so i braved it into a walmart, and sure enough the stuff still exists!  i bought all that they had in stock so that i will not have to go back any sooner than possible, and now i will again be able to use the first camera i ever owned.
