just some helpful suggestions, your photos are cool and have a good look to them. the load time on the pages isnt great, and the photos are laid out differently gallery to gallery. on your about me section the instagram link sends you to flickr. and from the view of a potential employer, other than fine art, what could your photos do for a company? i only say that because if you werent trying to get the attention of a potential employer then why have a website? but for real i really do like your photos man, curious to see what youve shot in the last couple years!

dude thank you, I'll fix that broken link. I hella appreciate this feedback. The photographs are laid out differently according to series because in my head, presentation/content are linked pretty strongly. In the "date stamped" set, the vibe of the photographs is more of like looking through memories, where they're all sort of collaged together in this non-linear,almost mesy way. The "Drifting" series reflects a much more intentional mindset in which i want the viewer to look at each photo on their own without any distractions. the photos in that series are all linked and the sequence matters but i still want the viewer to only be focusing on each photo at a time.

I'm also not really trying to sell my photographs to a company/have a website for that purpose. i wanted a website mostly for opportunities to collaborate with other like-minded people. I put that stuff about what i do for "work" work because the whole rest of my site is focused on my creative work. I kinda just want to attract other creatives/groups/whatever who have similar interests as me, (in education, community organizing, etc). In terms of getting work through my website i was wondering if i should put a byline or something in my about me, like "available for commissioned work, assignments, etc"

I really appreciate your feedback dude, i'm curious as to what your thoughts are on what i said, i'm always thinking about this kind of thing

it does look good and i totally get what you mean, i would deff add some sort of obvious contact for work or collabs or photoshoot or something (even though i know it's there it kinda gets lost in other info), because well you never know whos gonna see your site and if they want to give you money to shoot photos for them then well they should know thats an option. i mean if you want that to be an option. my website is very far from perfect and my photos are blah but if you wanted to check it out its https://www.zbphoto.me

I love your skate photos , the lighting/timing is on point and the spots look interesting. I think it could benefit from having each photo spaced out a bit between them, it would allow the viewer to see them better and more fully appreciate what's going on.

Have been adding new photos on my site. In the middle of processing a bunch of rolls from a late night idea I'm trying to get out of my head. www.mydumbluck.com

I haven't shot film in a long time but I recently came across some of my favorites from about 1-2 years ago when I was learning to shoot film. I decided that I would get a few of them scanned digitally and it kinda got me going on shooting again. Here are my two favorites from those times.

Shot on a Canon AE-1 with some Kodak film I cant remember what it was

The black and white was Film Washi "A" while the hockey photo with the blue tint was either Revolog 460nm or 600nm I don't remember. And the other was Cinestill 800T.

I haven't posted here in a long time and like seeing everyone else's work, so I'll post some stuff I've shot in the last 6 months. I had a big burnout period of shooting landscapes since I started doing more photo work as my job, which I think was good to not feel like I had to always get out and be shooting. Also got to shoot some skating, which I haven't done in years. I haven't shot a ton of skate photos over the years since I don't get out too often much anymore and all of my skate friends live far away, but it's fun to mess around with it. Anyways, here's some of my favorites I've shot in the last 6 months and some skate photos from the other day.

Ayo, for dudes on here who know more about photography than me I've got some curious questions. First let's start with some styles. I'm a pretty big fan of these people's photos:

The latter has tutorials and such so I think I understand how they edit along with what they're looking for better. For the former, what's she doing exactly? I get that she's post processing the hell out of it but as to aperture, ISO, shutter speed, etc... Can you guys spot a trend? And also what would you guess she's doing when she edits them?

idk what youre really asking here, but it seems like marilyn just messes with split toning, just adding a hue/color to either the bright parts of the photos or the darks.. probably just slides it over to purple/blue and gets that overall tone.

easily done in lightroom if you have it...

I'm going to guess that those photos are made using multiple exposures of different exposure times layered on top of each other with a lot of masking and blending going on. It's got to be a very meticulous editing process that you're only going to be able to mimic with a lot of photoshop practice.

I don't know man, with that much editing (to me) you may as well just paint pictures instead of make them. I appreciate what comes of pictures in post usually, but some people over do it and it gets bland.

Damn I left my bubbler at my parents house

agreed, im not really a fan of HDR photos, they just look idk too much. usually over saturated and too sharp that it looks too digital.
