they use harnesses?  pussies.

i remember reading an article in some outdoors magazine once about this insane freeclimber guy who would make these huge, huge climbs with no rope, no harness, no anything...like El Capitan in Yosemite.  apparently for fun he would tie a rope across a 500' dropoff and walk across it, no harness or anything.  that dude was fucking nuts.

i don't think it's the guy in that youtube vid...but i couldn't be certain.  i was just glancing through the article at a mechanic's maybe 3-4 years ago.  i'm surprised all free climbers aren't dead.  how the hell do you climb for 10-15 hours (or more?) straight with virtually no rest, knowing that if you fuck up even once you're dead?
