whats weird is skating is an individual thing, yet you still need some friends to keep you motivated.

yeah it sucks. like when i'm at school, i have no problem skating by myself. partially because my campus has a bunch of fun little spots whereas my neighborhood has maybe 2 or 3? and skating flatland by myself in my driveway is only so much fun, especially when you suck at flip tricks, like i do.

If you live on the east coast (up north) Don't you hate the dudes stop skating when it gets cold. They might come around here and there but they just hibernate. its sickening.

we'd still skate. less hassle and less peds to watch out for when it's cold in the winter. i would usually start out bundled up with a 3 shirts on, hoody, gloves, beanie, and end up in a t-shirt by the end of the session. get the whole body steamin too

Skating in the spring and fall is beautiful. It's regularly 30 C in the summer, and then minimum 4 months snow-on-the-ground winter.

I'm sweating like a beast after one trick, and keep on sweating for the next two hours.

Yeah skating today was pretty tough. I ended up rolling my pants up which was nice. Having my ankles exposed made my whole body cooler. I guess I did look a little ridiculous though.

I broke down and cut the bottom half off of a pair of pants today. I got over my fear of skating in shorts, and I don't get tired as quickly.
Skating by yourself in the heat still sucks, though.
