I got accepted into the University of Missouri.
[close]
Congrats, which campus would you be at? St Louis or Columbia?
[close]

Neither, actually, I'll be at the Kansas City one.??  I am moving there next year so I'm going to try and take a few online courses until I am able to go.??  My wife went to the Columbia one though
[close]

The Roos! My girlfriend's brother went there and really liked it. A lot of people I know go there, actually. Are you about to settle down here?
[close]

Yeah, I used to live there before the Army and I'll be moving back for good early next year.?  My wife is looking for places between Johnson and Jefferson county.
[close]

As a lifelong Johnson County resident, I can confidently say that it is the ultimate family zone. Also the ultimate white snob zone in some areas, but a lot of good people in the suburbs. You and your wife probably already knew that, though. Overland Park has the best skatepark of any in the area, in case that helps.
[close]

We are more than likely living in JoCo.  I told her I was fine with it as long as we didn't live south of  119th.  Hahaha!  We have a house we are looking at on 95th and Antioch, which I am more than ok with.  Is the skatepark the one you're talking about at 135th and Switzer?  I used to skate that pretty frequently.  Not a bad little set up.  So many kids thought I was sponsored simply because I was over the age of 16 though, hahahaha
Haha. I'm well south of 119th, where the average IQ and household income drops off considerably. Yeah, that's the skatepark I was talking about, but a couple of years ago they tore it out and completely re-did it. They made a pretty amazing soccer complex all around it and were forced to rebuild the park. It's got some questionably steep transition now and a few misguided design flaws, but it's mostly real smooth and nice now. Psyched on your re-entry to this neck of the burbs.

In unrelated news, I'm stoked on my newfound networking abilities. I've been approaching the right people about opportunities. My level of experience in my major (digital media) is pretty low, so I'm trying to get a jump on that.

Watching a documentary series called Ancient Aliens

Ancient Aliens - Chariots, Gods and Beyond {s01e00} - Pilot

the parts about lord pakal, the piramids and sun temples, Pumapunku and Antikythera mechanism were pretty mindblowing, and this was just the pilot

Finally started watching Mad Men. Blew through the first season this week, just starting on the second. Hopefully it stays consistent.

In a lush corner of emerald vine, sent to Coventry at large
I taste the milk of Aphrodite on my patient tounge
With vigor, I hack; my crimson machete
Til flushed folds relinquish their Alabaster condensation
Her benevolence comes to me in lactic waves

My dad owns 2 pubs and he sells it from the draft and bottle.

European sweets are so much better than sweets here in the US. I was so stoked to find these at the World Market.

Kinder is the fucking shit. Do you not have Kinder Eggs in the US? If not, your childhoods were joyless. Chocolate eggs with a toy in the middle. Best thing ever.

What?! hahaha
We definitely have Kinder Eggs in Canada, at least where I live.
SO, this morning I wake up thinking I'm going to have a final exam at 4. This fact really bummed me out, because it's sunny and twelve degrees out today, and I was going to have to study; by the time my exam would have been over it would be 7 pm.
Anyways, wake up with this feeling like I was messing something up, so I look on-line and lo and behold! my exam isn't today, it's on the 18th.
Now I'm at home watching the Real video, about to go skateboardering, I'm so giddy.
Spray it like a high-rank sniper in the West Bank.

Got tomorrow off, getting a haircut, going to the shop to finally get the Real video, skate for a while, grab some beers and head to my best friend's new house to rip up some linoleum flooring. Hopefully bar afterwards.

its not like i saw every girl that works there in 1 single day.  there is also another light skinned girl with light eyes there thats super fuckin hot but shes got man(though hopefully not for long).  anyway, this other girl isn't exactly a 10(7) but i'll take anything for free.  plus, shes super sarcastic and a total wise ass which are both attractive qualities to me.  i like witty smart mouth chicks.
personality > hotness...sometimes.

that said, i learned a simple lesson in life a long time ago....
low standards = some ass
high standards = some hand
