Stoked on my 4 days in NY. Skated everyday unless the last one, on which it decided to snow. Stoked on meeting some cool people and skating the streets. Not too stoked on the 10+ hour flight back and forth within 5 days, but still overall stoked out of my mind!

sounds amazing, really jealous!

No one asked you if it was something special. Just post the shit.

You and the D00D have turned this thread into a horrible head-on-collision between a short bus full of regular kids and a van full of paraplegics.

This is a music video I shot, directed, and edited for a good friend's band from Nashville. They wanted to go for an 80s vibe, so I tried to get that as best I could without over-doing it. I'm stoked on how it turned out, and even more stoked to hear that the band got a call to do some shows after someone in Nashville saw the video.

A Danish magazine came out today, and I had way more photos in there than expected. I only really did one article so i thought most of the photos wasn't getting used. The rest of the photos were mostly in a the gallery or used for checkouts. Im really stoked they used so many photos in the gallery.

These are two of them, im really happy about the fakie fs flip into the bank. Like, 3 triangles of different colors laid on top of each other.

One of my favorite shots from this year, so really happy it made it!

And regarding the girls butts - please bring it!

^ That's an amazing photo.  I love skate photography that actually seeks to be aesthetically pleasing and interesting without the inclusion of the actual skateboarder.

Thanks both of you, i really appreciate it! Thank you! Hopefully the mag comes out online soon - then I will try to post it here somewhere. There is some good things in english in there too, like a pretty interesting Pontus interview and a Joey pepper interview about his departure and comeback to the pro ranks.

great! please post it, would be quite interesting. if i can add 1 little piece of criticism: i would have desaturated or removed those red "do not step on the glass" stickers...

but the mag looks great. god i wish we had a independent magazine in austria again...

Alan - Yes, its a bs 180 over the hard way. He did a bs flip over the hard way 2 days after deadline of the mag too.. I gotta hold on to that until next issue i guess, but that is seriously fucked haha!

Hercules - Please do! The more critisism the better. I actually never thought of removing the stickers, but I think its because i try to use photoshop as little as possible, I dont like changing the photo too much. But you are right, it actually would have helped clean it up a bit without the red there. Damn haha, should have seen that!

But having an independent mag is all about you just doing it. Get together 5-10 of the right people, come up with some good articles that might go a bit outside of skateboarding. We had architecture and skateboarding as focus in this issue. The last one was DIY (not just spots, but dealing with the city councils fighting for new parks and stuff like that), and the one before was work and skateboarding, like what jobs do the best skaters in the country actually have, and how jobs in skateboarding works and stuff. We have some of these articles that could be interesting to read even though you might not skate. And the format is a little special, but it suits perfect for like a coffee table type book/mag.

The hard thing is of course to get the money in to actually print the thing. We have a website too, from which we post news, some pictures and do some videoes from local arrangements and stuff, not a lot of original content but some. We sell adverts on there, and its basically free to run, so the money from there goes to the mag as well, and then we sell ads in the mag rather cheap. We usually make the budget without too many problems, but i dont know about the distribution/brand scene in Austria, but I could only imagine it being bigger than around here?

the scene isnt too big, at least compared to our neighbours germany or switzerland. the problem around here is that theres certain cities with good scenes, and nothing inbetween, whilst communication between the cities isnt the best. and if somebody starts a project, its either just bound to one city (usually vienna) or the project fails cause people have too different views on how things should go. i guess it has to do with austria being involved in the beginning of both world wars, we cannot back down apparently. yeah, that should be it.

How about trying to get a photographer from a couple of different cities on the program and make a checkout and maybe photos for an interview, then you got something that covers most of the country and that people most likely would want to be a part of. How about the distributions? Wouldn't they be down to have their riders exposed on print? Then give the distributions that sponsor/advertise in the mag the right to distribute it to the shops, so the shops gets the mag when they order from the distribution - that might be a way of convincing them to advertise in the magazine. I dont know, but if it is possible to have a magazine in Denmark, Austria sure as hell have the scene for it too!

I don't at all follow how he's actually doing that, fucking incredible. I didn't think it was possible to convincingly cheat while playing dice
