was out in the garden w/ my sister and who shows up but 3 turkeys! one of em flexed on me a little. this is in my neighbor's yard but i kinda herded them to my yard. they start eating my crops we're gonna have a problem but it was nice just to be around these giant ass birds who descended from dinosaurs.

Yes. Man, I love seeing wild turkeys out and about when I'm running in the woods. Call me crazy but I like to talk to them. Just stupid shit like "Hey bird coming through", or, "look at your feathers, looking good today, bird.". Just wacky stuff. It helps break up the monotony. I always take it as a good sign whenever I see them. Same with deer.

I haven’t been skating a great deal lately and today at the park it showed (I was rusty as hell) but when I’d had enough of sucking and decided to leave I did one of the best kickflips I’ve done in a minute. It made my session and my day.

Tomorrow it's my brother's birthday and today we had a little memorial party for him. He was a really great musician, so his friend who organized it asked for people to play music. A few of his friends threw together a last minute set and played for probably a few songs. I brought his drum kit and got to jam with one of his friends too and that was a lot of fun.

I always worry that stuff like that is going to make me really sad, but I usually walk away feeling pretty good.

I learned how to go backwards on a bmx.  Its actually super fun and addicting.  I learned it on sombodies 'freecoaster' so i didnt have to pedal backwards, just stand there.

I filmed a decent front board on the park hubba today. I wanna put it on the slap thread at some point.

Really really stoked to get a message from someone saying my willingness to quit drugs inspired them. I got a few members I feel like I can’t let down now, and it feels great.

after some weeks of mental discomfort i received a new contract at my current job (8 months, but still, that's 8 months of not being unemployed) so in order to properly celebrate i just ordered the fuck out of these two quasi decks i'd been eyeing up for a while. pretty fucking stoked. ah, materialism

I get this too. Although I just got a new washing machine so I'm afraid it won't happen as often. But she's coming to stay with me for a month or 2 soon, so I'll be back in the game.

However, I was getting a real problem with what I thought was slip axle about 2 months ago so I smashed the shit out of my axle on a ledge and my wheel still wasn't spinning so I got so mad I focused my board. When I got home and set up a new board I pulled off my wheels to rotate them and I pulled a meter-long blond hair out of the bearing of the wheel that wasn't spinning. Now it spins fine. OOPS.

Butthole ones are kind of cool because it feels like you're pulling your tail off. I had one wrap itself around my dick real tight once that wasn't as cool. Someone in the history of the world has had their dick fall off that way for sure.

Finally went to my first kinesitherapy session after my mcl sprain last month. My physiotherapist said it wasn't as bad as he diagnosed it and that I should be back on board in less than a month.

Quite bummed to miss my favorite months for skating, but I'm super stoked to be able to go (and actually skate) to the skate trips we planned this summer.

I've really been enjoying skating solo this spring. I had one homie who still skated, and when he wasn't around I'd get a little bored skating by myself. But now I really dig it.

My life is weird.   I just walked outof a hostel im staying at temporaraly and i see the 2 roughest dudes ive seen in the city all week.  They lookedlike theyre faces were gonna fall off.  Anyway i made eye contact with one of them and he approached me saying somthing unitellegeble/friendly.  Then he asked his buddy to give him 50 euros.  He said no but the man then demanded it so out of his buddies pocket comes 50  euros.  Then the motherfucker hands it to me!!! Wtf?!  I thanked him and he was off. And i broke it by getting a latte.
The fucked up thing is i got robbed yesterday(edit actually the day before yesterday)  of 50 euros.  I was looking down into my shoulder bag and this heroin chick stuck her hand into it and ran like the wind.  By the time i caught her she had handed it off to someone already cause i went thru her pockets.

Came the fuck up on some brand new Blue Yeti Mics (basically 2 for 1) and have started to get some shit together for a podcast a buddy and I are gonna start within the next month or so, end of June by the latest. We’d been talking about it for a bit now and once I found that Yeti steal, everything started coming together. Lots of positive momentum going right now and I’m excited about it!
