+ got a roll in on Sunday even though it was lightly snowing
+ made our second batch of organic miso paste yesterday, now just gotta wait a year for it to ferment
+ heading to like 4 countries next moth for work
what's up w/ that? i had a street kid once tell me he was a seaman and miso was a mushroom or fungus or something.

well ko(u)ji is a fungus and you can use it to make most Japanese trad. condiments like soy sauce as well as sake etc.

Impish sausage is definitely gonna blow up as a euphemism this year

Those photos are beautiful, Andrew.
Have you ever considered letting someone use them for board graphics? With compensation, of course.

On a side note; I’m stoked that this vegetarian diet is really paying off. I’ve never felt this great or had this kind of energy. Also, 3 months without cigarettes and I already feel a tremendous improvement in my all-around existence.

neuroscience is in infancy or adolescence. like when we were kids 'weed kills brain cells and they never grow back.'
now 'weed can help stimulate new growth in the hippocampus'.
gabas aka 'jonnies' do the opposite. they cockblock new growth. no regeneration.

Wow, sorry to hear that. There is waaaay better drugs to treat epilepsy than gabapentin. Gaba will be pulled off the market in the next 3-5 years

Getting the shark tits treatment!
All you're going to find from me is skate warehouse receipts and "for her" pornhub searches.

good shit mate, if you stay off the cigs you'll come to hate the smell of the fucking things. they really are terrible.

I usually skate with my 3 yo or by myself these days but yesterday there were two guys at the (non-skate) park when I rocked up.
Was good to have a sesh with people my own age even though I'm probably 10 years older than them both. Just good to feed off other in general I think. None of us were dropping hammers or anything but it was good to get the stoke going.

I’ve already reached that point, thankfully. Every time I go to the park or hang with friends and I catch even the slightest odor of a cigarette my stomach flips. The funny thing is, I quit because my girlfriend has severe asthma and I felt like a complete douche for continuing my nasty habit while she suffered. She’s also the reason I decided to give vegetarianism a try.
The difference having a significant other can make is miraculous...

My roommate who up until this point I thought was some kind of ghoul or vampire is actually playing music in the other room. First indication of any kind of humanness in the more than a year that I've lived in this shithole.

good deal lampshade! you should wake up good tomorrow, day 4.
one foot in front of the other and before you know it drinking will seem foreign.

Thanks, man.  Day 8, going strong.  It's been kind of tough because my knee has been acting up bad, like walking with a cane bad, so I can't really do much besides watch Netflix and read.  I have a lot of energy, but am pretty bored.

i met a traveling kid looking for the diy [wormside] w/ traintracks above it. i'm like 'yeah, the c-c is above the spot' and i showed him. he wanted weed so i took him home and sold him $60 worth. i gave him street kid discount.
my mom was like 'who is this? from back in the day?'
she was nervous i didn't know him from a long time ago but he was dope. she cooked us fish and pasta and he ate some ranger cookies. laced him some socks but i forgot to give him some cigs i've had in the freezer for 2 yrs but we reminisced about the desert, the PNW and all points east.
prolly should've gave him a jar of honey too.
i miss the road and appreciating strangers and the novelty of not knowing where every day is gonna take me. maybe it's natural progression that now i'm the host?

You know a local comedian who has become the star of a national oats advertisement (is he just like "go buy oats you can feed them to horses and all kinds of shit"?), or you just saw a local comedian and you know him as the star of a national oats advertisement? Is the company called National Oats? I hope so that's a good name.

He's a local comedian that used to host a comedy night at the bar I worked at, I know him casually enough. He moved to the capital city and I just saw him on a 30 second TV ad for the biggest oats company in the country. We're not best friends or anything but I'm stoked for him, that really caught me off guard. National Oats is a good name.
