Damn the episode last night was my favourite of the season thus far, alans funeral, vince meeting that supermodel, ari was so funny in this episode, its number 7 of the series, the ending was a little strange with the "emotional" moment with ari and vince, episode was good though

I had to laugh at how cheesy it got the instant the radiohead song started playing in the background, but it was a solid episode.

Vince was bummed cause he felt that him and Ari "started something"(working hard to earn superstardom) and he is now bummed that he is just going to have it handed to him. I'm sure something will happen where Ari gets the job, offers him some great role, but he turns it down cuase he feels he didn't earn it.

Does he even care about being a superstar? All he usually wants to do are indy films that he thinks will be great. Maybe it is the fact that the nature of their relationship will change and Vince will have to get a new agent that bums him out. Kind of dumb though. He needs to man up if that bums him out, and stop hating on Ari.
Ari just busting out when the two douchebags told him they wanted to fly to New Zealand and meet with Peter Jackson that night was amazing.

The ending was a complete cop out. C'mon ! ! ! ! The conflict between Vince and Eric was resolved waaaaaaay too quickly! The point of a season finale is to leave the audience with a cliffhanger. At least in season 3, after Vince fired Ari, we had to wait almost a year to see what happened afterwards. Eric definitely shouldn't have been as forgiving with Vince as he was. Vince needs Eric - it isn't the other way around. Seeing Vince squirm over his career has been an interesting ride. All in all, it season 5 was a BIG improvement over the last two (that really isn't saying much, though).

They got approved for 12 episodes with the possibility of doing 4 more or something if HBO wanted them to I think, to me it seems like that might be the reason for the ending being so stupid. The Vince and Eric thing, Eric going back to LA to get the pilot for his client, Vince getting the Scorcese movie, seems like it'd be better spread over a few episodes than crammed into the back end of one.

I thought the season ending episode was good. Sometimes shows tend to drag shit long and then it ends up totally going some wack ass direction that doesn't make any sense for example the show "weeds"(which I loved unitil last season) its about some widowed milf who slangs weed to make ends meet in the suburbs right? then last season just completly fucking took a turn for the worse now she stop selling weed , she'sworking at some maternity store while drug/human trafficing is going on during store hours and she's fucking the Mayor of TJ?  Fuck that's like Vince becoming a Publicist. Keep the shit that works and that's why this show is still good.

the vince and e conflict was resolved abnormally quickly, even for a TV show, but i liked the episode overall. things were shitty, but it finished off leaving me feeling good.
