Stan Lee was such a big influence on me growing up. As a kid, I would collect X-Men and Spider-Man comics and watch reruns of the 60s Spider-Man cartoon series. I was pretty much a Spider-Man fanatic. Only about a year ago, Stan Lee was at a comic convention in my home city - I was considering going but didn't make it.

I saw him at my local comic con last year. They made everyone move to the side and some big bodyguards wheeled him in to the hall, down to his booth. It was like a one man parade. They were charging $250 for a photo op with him, too rich for my blood.
