I've met Koston and I have to say he was an anything but cocky, probably the nicest person I have met in the industry other than maybe Berra, or Chico, or Huf...  He actually took the time to talk for a bit rather than just say "whatsup" or "nice to meet you" and walk away when I met him, and this was at the finals for the BATB nonetheless.  Dude is the best.

I don't get hating on Koston - he just seems like a big goofball who'd be totally fun to skate with. Although I guess he might seem sort of offputting if you're one of those too cool for school dudes who skates the local park with your ipod on, not making eye contact or interacting with anyone.

maybe some people just like to listen to music when they skate? i skate with my mp3 player at skateparks but it doesn't mean i think i'm better than everyone else or anything. music just gets me pumped to skate. better than humming some tune in your head all day. i don't get why some people make such an assumption.
